Losing without an away goal makes it extremely difficult. Pep overthought the game again. No Kev or Leroy until, 89th minute? Made me question his sanity and my own.

Not much difference between 1-0 and 0-0.

Spurs would still have to come to us to score, they aren't keeping a clean sheet.

If Mendy was just goosed after Saturday i would save him for second leg and play Jesus and Aguero , play KDB and Bernardo(if fit) if we concede fine but we could score a few also.

Strange one with pep tonight spurs are rubbish they just wanted to win that more. I’m not sure what our plan was. No energy or movement. Very much like the fa cup semi.
Maybe fatigue is becoming an issue.

Same old players letting us down for me this season. They try but are just not good enough anymore.

Mahrez offers very little but falls over

All those players gave the ball away so much tonight causing pressure from nothing.

We need bald silva back too. He’s just not the same. Really poor these last few weeks.

Why bring Kev & sane on with 5 mins left. ? They should be on early second half for me.

I’m sure we can turn it around but the form in our last 2 games is a real concern we look so slow & weak in physicality.

Nice one, I like the cut of your jib, sick of reading negative comments by some who should know better. I’m all for criticism when it’s justified but we have been on a fantastic run, hampered severely by injuries and ffs, 1-0 down with a home leg to come is hardly a disaster. Wonder if the anti CL brigade will turn up for this one.

I didn’t expect us to win all 3 games against spurs, so we win the other 2 and we are back on track, too many fannies on here slagging the team of, get a grip ffs.

Not at the races as such today although they didn't do much to instil fear that we can't turn it around unlike last year.

In saying that this tie can go either way now and Spurs if anything have the advantage now and the onus is on us now to make the play and make the possession count otherwise we will exit this competition again at the QTR final stage.

Sterling looked dangerous and Merlin did alright. Mahrez is fucking shite. No link up play, no runs in behind, shit crossing, just predictable wank.

Totally disagree , Mahrez did as well as any other of our offensive players , they were all rather shite tonight

I’m not sure Tottenham would’ve taken a 1-0 and Kane out for the rest of the season if you’d have offerd them. Thought we controlled the game in large parts, Delph loses concentration for a second gets his body position all wrong aswell and it’s in. Aguero needs to learn that in this competition you have to be ultra clinical. Shite soft penalties won’t work. I think we will bounce back at weekend and Tottenham will shit themselves in the return leg.

Laporte has had some brilliant games at left back and he would have been a million times better than Delph. Danilo too would have been a better option.

It’s not just his liability at the back either he disrupts our play every time he goes near the ball. Pulling back to get the ball on his right foot or lingering around doing nothing 30 yards from goal when we’re in attack.

I don’t even blame him, it’s not his fault. He’s just out of position and out of his depth.

Laporte is not a left back. But even if we did play him there, we would have missed out at center back. Liverpool wouldn't stick Van Dijk at right-back just because the right back option wasn't perfect - Delph's error for the goal was schoolboy-esque

I will never understand why Pep changes our team in the away legs of the Champions League. The last few years he’s changed the way we play away and it almost always backfires.

Mahrez did very little right or wrong. Silva continues his poor run of form. Delph is out of his depth and has cost us in almost every match he’s played.

Long term we need to figure out our striking situation, Aguero is incredible but always takes a while to get back after injury. Jesus doesn’t understand offside at all. Third season with us and he still can’t keep himself onside when it matters.
