I thought the longer the 2nd half went on the more Mahrez came into the game, he grew in confidence and put some good balls into the box. Agree to disagree mate.

I'm certainly not saying he was terrible but I never really feel he threatens that much. He doesn't give the full back a hard time usually. I like him as a player and sincerely hope he will come good for us but Rose could push onto him without ever having to worry about Mahrez bursting past him. Sterling on that side would have given Rose much more to think about.

Anyway, as you say, let's agree to disagree. It's done now and can't be changed.

Let's hope in 8 days time we're celebrating after a fine win at Palace and a crushing defeat of Spurs.

Sometimes you lose, but I cannot understand what Guardiola sees in Mahrez that he doesn’t see in Sane. For me, Mahrez offers very little. We always look more potent with Sane on the field. He’s getting very little game time and it wouldn’t surprise me if he wants away soon.

I can't see them not scoring. Particularly if we insist on giving free-kicks away around our area again

I’m optimistic, can see us blowing them away next week.
Our home record is so good that they will feel they need an away goal which could play into our hands.
We’re in a much stronger position then we were against liverpool last year, and with a half decent ref we might well have turned that one around, we battered them until that Spanish cheat intervened.

If VAR was around last season, there is every chance we would have gone though

They really never hurt us unless it was a fuck up.

Delph did everything right untill that goal maybe Son who I think is class was just to good if anything Ederson was beaten to easy.

We were in controll untill Kane went off then we kind of gave the ball away to easy.

Walker just tried to hard & nothing came off.

Kev should have been on after 70 minutes we were well on top just needed that killer pass.

If you see the Scum back page tomorrow they have a still where Delph is standing on Kane's ankle ( not in dispute) with the ball up around Kane's head - ( doctored? )

Wasn't a great display tonight although it was hard luck us conceding just as we were starting to control the game and looking the most likely to win it at that stage.

Odd are we we're never going to win three on the bounce against the same team in such a short space of time, if I had to pick one to lose it would have been this one by the narrowest margin or draw albeit it would have been better to have nicked an away goal.

As Pep says, we now know what we have to do and I'm in no doubt we'll go on and do it.
Keep the faith and get behind the lads on Wednesday.

You have to put that in the context of the Champions' League and its referees. Most favour the home team. There's no way they'll get as many free kicks around our box next week. Tonight, it was compounded by our early penalty. He gave them plenty after having to give us that.

I can't figure out whether it's to our advantage that Kane is out or not. They seem to link up and press better without him. But he is a more goal-scoring threat.

We won't be winning this competition anytime soon anyway.
