As shortsighted as the "logos" of the Chicago Bulls, New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago White Sox, etc., etc.?
 
Kits are taking a while to be leaked this year, aren't they? With any luck they've been reading our comments on here and have gone back to the drawing board...

I agree it was. Though I wasn't saying it is racist. I was saying it is bigoted. There's a difference. You can be bigoted against other groups that are the same race.

I suppose I could have used gays or transgender instead of different races. My point was to replace a group of people with another group of people who are what they are because of an "accident" of birth. So as you see, there was no false equivalence of racism. It was merely to highlight a bigoted statement.

So you meant xenophobic?

Maybe it was but just because another country is now heavily part of our market customer base doesn't mean we should change to suit.

Like have shite flourencent kits because surveys said they had positive results in one place or Kick offs at 17:00, to suit overseas tv.
As for having f.c. on the badge, well I prefer it but it isn't important, having the badge monochrome on the kits though pisses me right off

Xenophobic is a good word. It is bigoted but more specific.

I agree, the club shouldn't change just for marketing towards world wide fans it is trying to court. At least, I don't think it should. I didn't like the idea of Hull City trying to become/becoming Hull Tigers either. But, that's not my circus and not my monkey.

Designer here. What you're describing are both logos. It's not uncommon at all to have sub-brands within a brand family. It's still a logo. Crest is just another name for a logo, it's not a big deal.

Dont agree. Just a modern take on something that is centuries old. A logo is some crap american advertising scheme where 3 year olds know what McDonalds is.
A crest is something that represents history, and tells a story, it is not put out to the world as an advert. And it is a big deal to City fans.

I have a family coat of arms that is unique to my family name.

Citys badge is the same a coat of arms or crest, not just some brand logo for a business, it is our badge for our tribe, hence why old berts like me hated the beswick buzzard when Lee brought it in and kept wearing the original badge and similary some younger blues were not happy to see the old bird go the other year as it was important to them.

You cannot just fuck about with a clubs crest or colours.
