Here we go.Come on you fuckwits from the Merseyside Police Force.Lets see some action ... or not !!

An incident where a nine-year-old needed medical treatment after a flare was thrown during Liverpool's win over Chelsea on Sunday is being investigated by police.

The flare was thrown from the top tier of the Anfield Road End after Sadio Mane's second-half goal and landed on Chelsea fans in the bottom tier.

A nine-year-old Chelsea fan suffered a panic attack as a result of the flare.

The Football Association are also looking into the incident.

Merseyside Police said in a statement: "We can confirm that we are investigating after a flare was thrown during the Liverpool versus Chelsea match on 14 April.

"The incident was reported to us at 5.40pm [17:40 BST], shortly after Liverpool scored their first goal, that a flare was thrown from the upper section of the Anfield [Road] Stand.

"Following this, at around 6.20pm [18:20 BST], officers received reports that a young Chelsea fan, believed to be nine years old, had been taken to the first-aid centre where he was treated by St John Ambulance staff after suffering a panic attack as a result of the flare.

"At this stage, it is not clear who threw the flare. However, investigations are ongoing."

It never will be clear, even if they had the seat number of the offender and CCTV showing them entering the stadium, taking their seat and throwing the flare. They'd deny it and Miseryside thug enablers, sorry, police, would drop the case citing a lack of desire to prosecute, sorry, evidence.

They were quick to find the Roma fans who attached that Irish Liverpool fan though, no problem with that at all but how about when the shoe is on the other foot?. I remember back in the 80s when Merseyside police turned a blind eye to the Stanley knife wielding shithouses, it’s nothing new.

My money is on a copper throwing it.

Be interesting to see what difference VAR makes on all clubs points tally next season. It wouldn't have made a difference at the weekend as the score would have stayed 1-0 against chelsea considering their shooting was crap, but the other week Salah should have seen red for that challenge that could have been a leg breaker

hence he would now be serving a ban

wasn't that in CL against Porto?

They were only creating the famous Anfield atmosphere

Yeah, they've had a lot of it this season, but tbf there's a couple of teams every season like that. Last season it was the rags and Burnley (also us to a lesser extent, we've probably been better this season but have 4 points less). This season it's the dippers and Palace. Replay their games again and they'd probably get around 10 or 12 points less.

Or Liverpool and Palace wouldn't have needed those 'Lucky' goals and would have won 2/3 nil instead because they convert some of the simple chances they had instead of fluffing them. Of course it's so easy to say Liverpool were lucky with the Everton win etc, yet completely disregard the fact they were massively unlucky to be 0-0 in the 90th minute in the first place. Liverpool and City fans are just as deluded as each other. The venom and hatred spewed on both forums is simply disgusting.

Why can't we just be adults and say both team are phenomenal and have been for 30+ games now and whoever wins the title deserves it!

Teams miss chances mate, it's part of the game and normal. Having 3 keepers chuck the ball in their own net in stoppage time to gift you wins isn't.

According to the cult, chelsea took flares into the stadium and set them off making it look like the dippers were to blame

Or why don't you admit you have benefited from a lot of dubious decisions..
Such as Salah doing his dying swan impressions in the penalty area to get dodgy penalties to win games..
Anything to add about some fuckwit chucking a smoke bomb into a crowd with youngsters in it...or was that just banter la.

Yet when Marez misses the penalty at Anfield it's "Liverpool are lucky" "lucky Liverpool". Missing chances, penalties, free kicks, offsides are all part of the game and normal arn't they?? Like I said, delusion from both sets of supporters. When it suits your narratives Liverpool are lucky. When I mention Liverpool were unlucky to even need the last minute goal its all part and parcel of a game of football.

Job advert. Do you want to walk round with your head up your ass,be totally oblivious to what's going on around you and let your townsfolk take the piss out of you by standing on your cars and Vans chucking missiles with out punishments. Then Merseyside Police is the place for your career to flourish

This is what I mean by some of the disgusting stuff posted on both forums. I would love you to find me a single person who supports Liverpool that would condone throwing flares at children in the crowd. You won't find any. You just spout this venom on the forums. You will always have absolute morons in every football club. prime example were the group of City fans who were tearing up advertisement boards and throwing missiles at the police after you lost to Wigan in the FA Cup. The difference is I'm not an idiot and I don't go round saying "is it just banter" because I'm an adult.

Salah is a disgrace for diving the way he does and I'll be there with you all condemning it. It's not wanted in the game. But lets face it, he isn't the only one. Stirling also throws himself to the ground repeatedly, so much so that Pep had to come into a post game interview and admit it was a disgraceful decision from the referee. City v Shaktar for reference. The delusion is that you attack other clubs and act like you arn't getting dubious decisions yourself, the previous example in a champions league game highlighting that. Plenty of offside goals for city recently for example the Aguero last minute goal v Swansea. Again, lucky Liverpool right.
