Sterling goal against Watford ?
Kompany red card against us?
Dodgy pen against West Ham?
Offside goal against Palace
The goal against Palace wasn't offside. Neither was Sterling's v Watford.
When it the defenders touched the ball, they played both players onside.
I know, I know... interfering with play, in an offside position when it was played etc.
I agree - which, I'm sure you will understand is no the same thing as giving a shite.
They probably *should* have been offside (especially, if you're as auld as I am) but the law, as it stands nowadays, is a complete arse of a thing.
So, they weren't lucky incidents. Not in the true sense of the word, lucky. After all, the rules of the game are what they are.
Sorry, I don't remember the West Ham incident. I'm more than happy to accept your word for it, though. Obviously, we will have our lucky moments too.
Perhaps, most significantly, when only the thickness of a fly's mickey came between the ball crossing the line for a Liverpool goal and Stones nutmegging of Salah.
The Kompany incident is quite laughable, though. Could he have gone? Maybe but equally then Lovren could have done so for his challenge on Aguero and as for Robertson rugby tackling Sterling and the ref waving play on..!
On balance, I think Liverpool have had more of the rub of the green. I honestly don't think they should be berated for that though. (Although, a few officials need to take a long hard look at themselves).
I do think Salah is a diver and it is largely presented as something clever. This is particularly frustrating when every single penalty we get is quizzed and interrogated by the TV pundits, as prospective proof that Johnny Foreigner's team's murky dealings are clearly afoot, once more.
