Liverpool thread 2018/19

That's nothing compared to the 25th anniversary in 2014. One of the most ugly atmospheres ever there when they bricked our fans' minibus before the match, booed us throughout while throwing mssiles (I was right next to their fans) and then completed the day by attacking us at Lime Street Station. The drunken abuse they gave us outside the stadium just before and after the match was shocking given the occasion. And none of this was reported in the media. The press called them passionate fans but they behaved like animals. Matchgoing fans know what their support is really like.
Liverpool,s finest, have just said the case is now closed,as they have no evidence to support these Malicious rumors..

Expect the usual Merseyside Police response, the same one when the team bus got battered by a riot of them in a POLICE escort last year.

"Despite reviewing the 50 cameras in Anfield, we could not identify an individual and we have come to doubt whether the incident even happened".

yep - they will struggle to get to the bottom of it and blame it on a smokescreen around the incident lol

there was a period when he looked pretty distant and not happy on the pitch. About month ago or so.

Barca have now or near enough won their league. They can rest the little magician and co. That will play a big part.

Yea, Coutinho and Suarez will easily score, (or try to), against Liverpool. Barca defence was a worry in the first 10 mins of the Rags' match though. Can't see them holding the Liverpool attack at bay. We'll see.
I imagine City will destroy Spurs at the weekend after tonight so I don't think Liverpool will trouble city for the title.

Other wrong decisions which have cost Liverpool this season:
Sadio Mane goal vs Arsenal should have stood
Maguire should have got a red card before scoring the equaliser when we played Leicester
Keita should also have got a penalty in that match
Alisson was blocked in the Burnley game

I won't deny that Liverpool have had some questionable decisions but most of the offside calls were very close (except against West Ham) and its not the easiest job in the world to be a referee.
Man City likewise have also had questionable decisions.

This link shows how decisions have impacted the games played.

At the end of the day, both teams have been excellent and you don't get to 80+ points through just 'dodgy refereeing'.
yes you can and you have.
Liverpool are doing exactly what Leicester did, when they were pushed over the finish line by the officials and the PL. Albeit Liverpool have spent a kings ransom to get there.

I really don't care, I am not a scouser, therefore I am fine, I do not think city should win anything because of our history, I cannot think of a bigger affliction in life as big as being born in dipperpool. they are the plankton of british society.

Giro society :-)

So much bitterness from some posters. Fair play to Liverpool. They beat Chelsea and then went to porto and smashed them at home. Porto who are undefeated at home. Is klopp a better coach...? Do they have a better team? Perhaps it's one of the two. Look at how they are powering through opponents. Not easy going to Porto.

Not easy going to Porto ? I suppose it is not easy to go anywhere, especially in Europe, but when the last 8 draw was made who did 7 of the 8 clubs want to draw ?

I'll give you a clue.......they play in Portugal
