How is everyone feeling?

Proud of the lads. Not as disappointed as I thought I'd be and not as sad as I was last night. Feel a bit fatigued with the CL to be honest from all the times we've been cheated out of it. That's the trouble with these knockout competitions; one mistake can feel like it ruins everything, whereas the odd ref error never feels quite as big in the league and there's always more games to put it right.

I think I'm not feeling *that* bad about it all since we've still got a chance to make this a truly historic season. There's a lot to play for. So many teams go out of this competition and the fans are left more or less saying "Well that's the season over" but for us, it really isn't. Worried about these next days though... Two enormous games. Win them and I don't think many people will even spare a thought for the CL. Lose them, and it'll hurt a lot more.

I can’t imagine being a player having to now forget it and focus on playing Spurs and united and needing to win both. Are they able to breath, find perspective, relax?

Better men than me if they can. I can’t. It’ll take me at least a week.

Immensely proud of the team.

All you can ever ask from a team win, lose or draw is that they give 100% and they did.

Happy I made the decision not to go, as with all CL games as it’s predictably bent as fuck but that’s not the players, managers or clubs fault.

Keystone Cop defending coupled with a ‘corrupt’ VAR analysis of Donkey Lorente goal.
If there’s more than one angle to review, then take the time to do that. Get it right and the fans will then trust it. Keep this shit up and it might as well not be used.
IMO the ball striking his arm BEFORE his hip, gave him an unfair advantage.
Would the same have been ok if Razza goes through on goal and the ball bounces up, touches his hand before he puts it away??? Not in a million years.

Proud but tired. Don't normally remember my dreams but had some strange ones last night about making my way back home on foot from London?? We were by far the better team and I fully expect us to continue developing and winning trophies. Exciting times, expecting full throttle on Sat and next Wed.

Never seen Vinnie like that before, he looked absoloutely shattered, on his knees for minutes after the whistle.Think it will focus them though.

Just to add to my previous post, there's a small sense of relief (if that's the right word). I always felt we were going to lose one game in devastating, unlucky circumstances and I had a strong hunch it would lose us the league title. That was that game last night, and I can also worry less about fixture congestion too.

We can practically win the thing at Old Trafford next week. That would make up for last night's heroic defeat.

The next week is absolutely huge for us.

Win those two games and I think we’ve got it.

Was gutted last night, but let's face it - it was one of the best games of football I've ever witnessed. Doesn't make it any easier though and I'm unsure how the players pick themselves up from that in time for Saturday. Hopefully Spurs will have nothing left in the tank and it may just make them that bit more complacent.

The only silver lining is that reaching the final would've as good as bankrupted me and many others, so that's more cash I can spend at the FA Cup Final.

Anyway, I'm just off to cancel my digs in Madrid and Malaga

ok, so we win the domestic treble, not so shabby and everyone else win fuck all, including Europe. I'll take that.

You cant score a goal with your hand.

Yeah, sorry to be honest I'd only properly seen Raz's until now and assumed they must have got the other one right. In fairness I don't think anyone could truly say it's deliberate but then with VAR they tend to give penalties for similar. So it still mainly comes down to opinion and removes the greatest thing about football, the raw emotion.

Pep overthought the process. City should be going through. Love the man however I think imo he blew it big time. Hopefully we can bounce back next year eventhough I doubt we will be as lucky as the past 3 years.

Absolutely gutted. Our best chance to win CL wasted. Bayern spending big, Real spending big, Barca signing De Jong and De Ligt. Its only going to be harder and we first have to figure out how to beat likes of Spurs, let alone European elite.

I genuinely believe that last night’s game will be the catalyst to ensure we smash Tottenham and the Rags. When the players get over the disappointment - and they will- we will use the defeat positively. TRUST ME!
Predictions
MCFC v THFC 4-1
MUFC v MCFC 0-3

feel gutted still end of the day we shouldn't let any team score 3 goals at ours but we are out now so move on to Saturday's game let's beat them then go beat the rags and let's win this premier league. come on city and in the remaining home games let's have last night's atmosphere in them all

Gutted we lost it in the first leg. I am however very proud of our team and fans. Best atmosphere I can remember, can only imagine what it would have been like if we had won the tie. A few weeks hard work now, and it can still be a glorious season.

On the plus side, I'm not sure I could ever handle a CL Final anyway....my nerves were utterly shot last night. I feel really down this morning about the way we went out, a lot of it was our own doing (missed penalty, poor defending for their 1st 2 goals etc etc etc). At times we were amateurish, getting the goal back within 5 minutes we should have been more circumspect & sensible but our heads were gone at the back. I don't really have any complaints about the 2 VAR decisions.
Thought the atmosphere and City fans in the stadium were magnificent last night and we lost with great dignity, which was pleasing...

Gutted but proud of the lads (apart from the defensive lapses and incorrect VAR for their 3rd) and our support. The contrasting ecstasy and then agony after the painful wait for our '5th' was soul destroying, just hope we can raise it again on Saturday and for the rest of this season. Winning the Premier League will ease this, FA Cup will be a nice bonus

Barca will be without Messi in a couple of years and De Jong and De Ligt will never compensate for his loss, same for Real they had Ronaldo winning big games for them for years...Barca may win it this year but that will be it for them, Real have had their spell of dominance, Bayern won't get the standard of players who can replace their legends of the last 10 years. I always thought it will be really hard for other teams to win it while the 2 Spanish giants still have/had Messi/Ronaldo playing for them.
I think we will have a better chance next season and the season after, our best is possibly still to come whilst the giants of the last 10 years have just about had their time.
