Media coverage 2018/19

Sky's coverage was absolutely appalling. I don't usually watch with commentary on but was forced to and it was just pathetic. Neville shouldn't commentate at all, particularly City games as he's lost any sense of impartiality. Him and Tyler laughing about previous City players etc every foul by a City player was spot on, every foul by a Spurs player 'he's been unlucky there'.

The coverage for Bernardo getting fouled in the box and Alderweireld's handball compared with Walker was a joke on both Sky & elsewhere. That weird CG Ref's view that Sky did for Walker wasn't trotted out for the other two. I haven't seen a mention of City's penalty shouts in any articles read (BBC & Guardian), despite Bernardo's being the most stonewall of the lot.

For anyone defending Souness, he immediately talked about Liverpool at any opportunity: '10 wins in a row now for City, that's great form isn't it Graeme?' 'They are only doing it because of the form lf Liverpool'.

Watched MOTD coverage. Spot on re Walker. That was never a penalty because although Walker handled the ball he had literally ms to react and that's clearly impossible, therefore not deliberate.

I am at a loss to understand how MOTD concluded that Bernardo Silva was not fouled. The back of his legs were literally cleaned out. They normally get these decisions right. Anyway it is of little consequence.

Love the supposed fact that we have no marching for error.

1 point in front, +7 gd yet it’s all so easy for Liverpool and it’s us under pressure lol.

If we put our right foot forward we will win the league in a canter :)

They said it was a penalty in the talk afterwards didn't they?

Just seen MOTD and am totally flabbergasted that they couldn't see the first kick at Bernardo take his leg before the second get the ball. These are ex-professional footballers. Ex-strikers two of them (never sure what Jenas was).

Has there been a rule change?

The media bias is blatantly obvious. People don’t even acknowledge that Pep has changed the way every other team in the top half of the table tries to play. Spurs yesterday being a classic example. They tried to play out and couldn’t. If they don’t acknowledge that impact they will never acknowledge the achievements.

Words were, yes he gets his leg before the ball but it's not a penalty in real time ffs ha ha

The MoTD coverage was incredibly biased.

Bernardo was clearly kicked in the area, it was preposterous to suggest "Silva was already going down", the words spoken by Jenas just didn't match what everyone could clearly see in the images.

Additionally, another stonewall penalty shout, the push on Foden in the area on about 52minutes wasn't even shown!

MoTD are a joke!
The sky coverage ,live was a joke too.the bernardo pen shout..tyler said immediately no penalty, neville agreed...then after the 4th replay, neville finally there might be something in that. These are supposed to be experts bringing the game to the viewer.
Your comments re jenas on motd are shocking really.he has no excuse not to get that right....its just another example of bbc pundits following the mantra.

City today...

Much more possession than spurs.... More shots, same amount on target, massively greater xG.

Motd..... Spurs deserved draw.

Best of all was jenas trying to explain how Bernardo wasn't a penalty... "defender was clumsy but wasn't a penalty - he took Bernardo's leg then the ball, not a penalty".. Lol, that's the definition of a penalty.

Really getting fed up of these media doping twats... We deserved the win today . The media message is more like lucky city

Desperation as the title race runs out of games.

Enjoy their pain.

Excellent point Danny, now are you aware that Phil has 10 starts this season in all competitions of are you demanding 10-15 premier league starts?

As he’s just turned 18 & already has starts & goals in all 4 competitions would it not be good to say he’s possibly already getting more games than you’d expect for someone so young.
Danny Mills is an absolute wankstain.
