billy was a legend in the game and could have been at manchester city but for swales and board not backing him, city had a youth team and 7 or 8 that was that good they demanded a first team place at the time, and billy knew 3 or 4 major signings and city would have a great squad and going places but swales did not ??

My 'first' City manager. Did a good job for us with (very) limited resources.
As a kid I had the umbro tracksuit he always used to wear (well a replica, the real one would have been a bit roomy). It's now been recycled, my 5 year old son wears it. often think of Billy when he goes to put it on.
