United (A) Post Match Thread

Thank goodness for getting over that hurdle! We looked nervous first half, misplaced a number of passes and allowed Utd to grow into the game. There were sign we were asserting our authority as half time approached and that continued into the second half as Utd were unable to replicate their efforts of the first half but importantly we stepped things up, we were never going to allow Utd the luxuries of the first half.

Worried when Fernandinho went off but Gundogan did a fantastic job in there tonight, Bernardo when moved into that deeper more central position was fantastic, as was Dave Silva, and Sane gave us more of a cutting edge.

I don’t think we needed to be outstanding to win but we were certainly efficient enough overall and the team worked tirelessly tonight. Onto Burnley!
 
Excellent team performance from the lads. I was a bit worried in the first 20 when we were being pressed by the rags and couldn’t find our passes. Great save by Ederson changed the game.

From 33-40 onwards the result didn’t look in doubt but I still couldn’t relax lol.

Good to see some of the Forum characters tonight including @Prestwich_Blue @Indaparkside

Just watching it as well, absolutely buzzing, it’s ours to loose now, still 3 games to go, but confident we will get at least the same points as Liverpool from the last three games, if anything that wolves game is now looking tricky

That was a great moment. Shows how much he wants it. Stunning performance tonight given the recent run of fixtures. Very proud to be a city fan when you get to support players who are giving their all for us fans.
 
Got into a scrap, played rope-a-dope while they got the Everton game out of their system, and then controlled the game. I thought it was a really mature away performance. Thrilled by the way the team is sharing the big performances around (except Bernie and Raheem who are killing it every game).

Burnley next. It will be a tough game. Win that and I think it might get easier because Liverpool's final 2 games look difficult
 
We know that there is talent in abindance in the squad but, to win the title in this sort of race takes guts, steely determination, committment, belief and confidence in your own ability. Yep, we have all that too. Club becoming a juggernaut. Oh, did we win yet another derby?
