Another tough game and a long time to wait for it.

Hopefully we have some players back for it. Leicester are excellent on the counter and will come at us, that could play into our hands or they could cause us issues. For now we just have to sit back and hope Barca inflict some damage on Liverpool in the CL. It is a positive distraction when you win but tough to recover from otherwise.

Wont happen. They have the CL to focus on and then their own game at Newcastle

I am hoping but not expecting them to slip up at Newcastle. It could be a tougher game than they have had for some time as Newcastle are an improving side, and they will have minimal time to prepare. They'll probably still win though. Best to assume they will so that we will be ready for the task of beating Leicester.

Fuck them I couldn’t care less if they won 10-0 it’s the recovery time and usually after a champions league game the intensity isn’t the same,Newcastle have a squeak a small one but a squeak ..

I think it is mental fatigue at this stage more than physical. Our players are full of running but clearly there is so much at stake it is all on controlling the mind and keeping at it and playing their usual game. Either way it will be tough at St James but I have expected them to drop points so often in the past few weeks and they keep winning so we shall see.

Yeah totally agree,could see it today amongst some of our players sterling especially has looked frustrated and edgy at times last couple of games,simply all down to pressure..

Why are we still talking about Liverpool slipping up?

We have won 17/18 at home this season and it took an almighty shit show from us to lose that.

The result I’m hoping for next week is a Cardiff defeat. Makes life so much more straightforward.

Leicester at home and Brighton away with 14 days of no games in between both of them
Is perfect for us.

Hi Marv - you're ( understandably) underplaying the impact of the dippers having to squeeze the Newcastle game in between the two CL Barca games ( only a three day interval either side).
Imagine if we'd had to fit in Leicester in between a two legged tie with Ajax with only two three day breaks.
I think it could have a big impact on their fitness for the game with the Geordies, and maybe some potential injury issues.

Don’t have much time for that twat Murphy but he’s called him out for diving and getting the arsenal player sent off (second yellow),be interesting too see if he tries this shit next week ..

He should get a retrospective ban for that the gobby little wanker. He had to apologize for simulation for trying to get a penalty earlier this season then he rolls around like he has been shot, all grimacing and crying in pain when he hasn't been touched. Why aren't players coming out with such shit about playing Liverpool, I am sick to the back.teeth of some of these knobs!
