this is not your father's barcelona, they play more like an italian team, no ideological dogmas, whatsover. IF they need to give the ball to the last placed team in order to exploit the counter, they will do it. While not very pleasant to watch, it's been quite efective under valverde, i very much prefer a more attractive style of play but you cant argue with the results, only barcelona could win 3-0 against liverpool nowadays

Also, smart of valverde to adapt to his ageing players, who can't press nor run as much or as fast as they did in the past. That said, as a barça fan i would like a different kind of football, but results are a dictatorship, they need to win a champions league however they can
