Premier League Games 3/4/5/6 May

I am convinced Schar either has money on Liverpool winning or has been instructed to give it to Liverpool.

He has now:

- Passed it straight to a Liverpool player from his own box (or just outside it), most often under no pressure, four separate times
- Gotten himself a cheap yellow for an obvious obstruction of taking a throw
- Inexplicably gone walkabout for both of Liverpool’s goals

I am expecting him to get himself sent off in the second half.

Some appalling defending for the bin dippers goals.
Both goals totally unmarked, against their most dangerous players in those positions.
Someone has definitely had a bet on.

A few people are asking why Trent Alexander-Arnold wasn't sent off for his handball.

Fifa's laws say a red card in that instance is not a punishment for the handball itself, but because it would prevent a goal being scored. Since Newcastle scored the rebound, they weren't denied a goal.

So, if TTA deliberately handles the ball then the rebound is then saved by deliberate handball again by TTA then the rebound is again deliberately handled by TTA then the rebound is deliberately handled TTA then eventually the goal is scored it's no card as he didnt deny a goal scoring opportunity as they eventually scored as its same phase of play?

Seems fair enough to me

It's the hope that killing me.

Deep down I know these fuckers have been handed the title on a plate. Mike Dean will do his bit for boyhood idols and his mates on Sky Monday night. So we can have a weeks build up of documentaries about how a plucky little club from a working man's town defeated an Arab Nation on its own...

I didn’t say the referee got everything right. If you read my previous posts you’d clearly see me say he should of been cautioned
We’re definitely not going to agree, especially as DOGSO should be independent of a goal being scored from the advantage, for the same reason a previous poster pointed out it could happen over and over (TAA using his hands as if he was the keeper, for instance), with advantage being played over and over, with a goal eventually being scored. That is an exact application of your logic, which would be farcical.

Fellow Blues. Who really cares if Liverpool win these next 2 games by 17 goals. We win 2 games and its ours. Forget the dippers. 2 wins boys 2 fucking wins
Yep and if we cant beat Leicester and Brighton then we dont deserve to win it

No. If it stops a goal it's a red as far as the rules are concerned. If not it isn't.
Yep. Seems odd that if they score after a handball rebound the attacking team might be worse off than if a penalty had been awarded. If advantage is played but no goal is scored, then it's a red card but does the ref bring it back for a penalty?

Glad I'm not a ref!

Am not buying any fix from the Newcastle point of view and they are creating chances so all is not lost.

The referee however is another matter and would seem hell bent on helping the twats. How did he not give a free kick against VVD on Perez?

it definitely was. No reason why he couldn't have awarded the goal and then go back to issue the red.

How many times do refs let play go on to see what materialises then go back and book a foul? Granted he couldn't have awarded a penalty but he definitely could and should have given the red!
He can only be sent off for preventing a goal. He didn’t, so he can’t be sent off.
