The Conservative Party

Honestly mate I don't know where to start with that. There's SO much stuff in there I disagree with, and so little chance of you agreeing with anything I say, I really can't see the point in replying. (The "the more competitive a production becomes, the worse the product" - that was a gem.)

Please on in your cloud cuckoo fantasy land, fine with me.

I'm sorry, I didn't know there was a gem in cutting corners and making things of less quality and suppressing wage growth to maximise profit.

But, then that's why your shit falls apart more easily than it used to and people fall into debt.

Who said anything about cutting corners and making things of less quality? You've completely misunderstood what is meant by "competitive" and introduced these daft ideas yourself. Bentley are pretty competitive with Rolls-Royce one might imagine, and yet I doubt they are renowned for cutting corners and poor quality, are they.

And why is it lefties like you are obsessed with companies "maximising profits" when for many companies "staying in business" is what its about. What's the stat, is it 9 out of 10 startups go bust? Something like that. The evil exploitative twats that they are. I guess you'd be happier if it was 99/100 instead, just so long as they paid their staff a bit more, going bust is marvellous.

I give up with you mate honestly I do. You're a lost cause as far as I am concerned. Wrong on just about every level. Honestly it's not worth arguing with you and doubtless you feel the same, so let's just not bother eh? I'll put you down as a lost cause and move on.

Cos everyone's got a Bentley or Rolls in their backyard!

Funny how your proof of competitiveness matters where money doesn't for the rich!!

Meanwhile can anybody from the Con Right tell me why they all want rid of her - they all make statements saying she has to go - yet they all do fuck all about it and there is only Rory Stewart who has actually come out and said he would stand to replace her ( laughably )

It's the way it is in parliament mate. Parties don't vote for traitors so no-one likes to be seen as one. Remember who stood against Jeremy Corbyn? Ummuna? Starmer? Lewis? Burnham? Cooper?

None of the above.

Alright then Lidl vs Sainsburys FFS.

Good grief you're hard work.

Thank you. I make it my mission to make you see sense, but I see no improvement.

Lidl Vs Sainbury's is not an argument to offer forward; they don't create products, they sell/ create a service.

Now, if we're talking about creating services, you can look at the NHS.

So, I'll let you compare that service to something 'competitive' that you can spin a positive from...

I can't be arsed mate. You win.

Where do you get 'labour will bankrupt the country in a couple of years' from? Every Labour government has borrowed less and left less debt than the Conservatives ... EVERY.SINGLE .ONE.

Even after the global financial crash the UK debt level was in a better state than they currently are under the Tories after 9 years of austerity..
You need to do some research mate, fiscally, the Labour party have always been a complete and utter disaster ... They would have borrowed a lot more than the Tories have done to dig us out of the hole they left us in after reigning over one of the most prosperous times in the countries history...

Really .... Don't believe everything the Daily Mail tells you .....

I dont read the daily mail, I'm old enough and intelligent enough to form my own opinion through experience and facts in the public domain..! Facts neither you or the Labour party are able to refute .....! You can throw any number of charts in you like but Labour cannot be trusted with our money, it's that simple ...

Absolutely

The nonsense above is like saying look we get to binge at the finest restaurants under Labour and under the Tories, all we get to do is pay the bill.

Given that the chart in question outlines fiscal performance under both parties and you decline to accept it what you really mean is you will only accept evidence and facts in the public domain that fit the preconceived beliefs you already hold.

Also it’s not your money. Tax money is a contractual obligation in exchange for services, security etc. Once collected by the Govt it is the Govt’s money over which you have no say or control over. The branding of it as ‘your money’ is at best a polite fiction.

May is just tearing her party to pieces

Yeah she is. Witness the latest seemingly futile attempts to remove her. Attempts that will dominate the summer as they are desperate to do it before the Party conference. She appears to have reached the ‘fuck you I ain’t going so what you going to do about it?’ stage with her Party.

This will no doubt ensure we make zero progress on Brexit and means a further extension is likely in October.

We've been though this before I think. Of course it's "our money". The government doesn't have any of its own money, only that wish it takes (with or without their consent) from other people. Show me the contract in this "contractual obligation"!

You can debate all you like the rights and wrong of whether we should or should not be obligated to pay for whatever service, but that doesn't change anything.

And regards the table, what it does not show (even assuming the figures are correct, which I reserve judgement upon) is what circumstances prevailed either before the respective party took over (i.e. were they handed a crock of shite), what the global economic backdrop was, nor any other critically important factors. The idea that the Labour party with it's ridiculous spend and tax, spend and spend and more tax and borrow and spend and tax and spend and borrow, is the party of debt repayment? Utterly ludicrous suggestion. Only a fool or Labour zealot would accept that table on face value.

I can only think that Labour's continued Brexit fudge is down to some perverse Mexican standoff calculation at Labour HQ, whereby the Tory party implodes before Labour does.

We have. We disagreed. I predict a similar result if we play again :)

It may be the government's money to spend as they see fit once taken via taxes but ultimately it's our money at source ... As I previously stated, even in a period when economic growth was unprecedented, the labour government under Blair and Brown managed to blow the lot to buy votes, Brown even sold our gold reserves at a car boot price and managed to leave the Tories an empty pot, full of labour promises and disastrous fiscal management ...
It's a fact they cannot run the country without policies that damage the country fiscally ... A labour government has never left power leaving the country in good health economically, that's a fact ...
