Brighton (A) Post Match thread - Champions!!!

Those rat-gobbling, brick 'n' flare throwing, candle-slurping wreath-layers can rationalize all they want.

We're champions, they're not. All the fucking bullshit yammering by the manager, players, fans and press can't change it and never will.

‘Bullshit yammering’ might just be my new favourite phrase.

Think the boss is happy

We congratulate Manchester City on the Premier League for the second consecutive season and sixth in their history. We commend the spirit of victory played by the team and its members, members of the staff, players, fans and fans of Manchester City everywhere, and wish the team more victories.

Sourness doesn’t know what to say. Drink it in shithouse.

I sometimes wonder if people actually listen...post match Souness gave us nothing but non-stop compliments describing us as a "fantastic" team amongst other kind words. He also said we play football the proper way and are a joy to watch but perhaps you missed that bit. Pretty decent considering he is clearly a Liverpool fan & would have been hoping we slipped up.
He is always extremely gracious about City and our abilities.

No sign of Mendy at Brighton or back at Etihad tonight. Seems a bit odd for a player who loves the spotlight.

Agree, he’s always balanced and today was nothing but complimentary towards us. Not sure what the OP heard. Carragher on the other hand....

It was the look on his face as soon as the match had finished that prompted my post, he looked more than a little pissed.
Fair enough afterwards he did seem quite magnanimous and fair with his comments.
I still find it more than irritating however, that the media is riddled with ex Liverpool players and no I'm not advocating ex City players for City matches, I just want something a bit more balanced.
