What Is The True Status Of The Champions League?

The status of the Champs league is that the two finalists got beat eight times between them , if they had the same loss ration in the Premier league they would struggle to reach half way up the table , and not forgetting Spurs could be crowned European Champions and they have been beaten 18 times in all competitions this season , it puts the nonsense that is the Champs league into perspective
 
This is an age old discussion. Its a glorified cup knockout competition. Champions and league are just words

Anyone can win the FA cup or so they say, but once every 15 years there will be a shock, jusy like the champions league, but a big team will always win it, champions of their domestic league or not
 
Moments after winning the PL when Bernardo Silva was interviewed, he mentioned that the Champions League exit still hurts. Shows how much the players value the competition. PL and CL bring so much of glory they just cannot be swapped one for the other.

Exactly.. Like i said în another thread some on here May not like CL but the players all want to win it.. Next season should be all în for PL and CL
 
It's like the FA Cup winners being called Champions of England.
Actually that's a bit unfair - you can't lose an FA Cup game and progress.

In reality it would be great to win it one day, just for completion and because it's the latest stick for the media.

3rd and 4th finishing qualifiers are in it, one hasn't won the league for 30 yrs, the other 57!
Both lost 4 times reaching the final. Spurs haven't had a sniff of a trophy in 11 years and rock up in the final. Hardly a reflection of elite.
 
Money, nothing more nothing less.

Obviously the name is a misnomer and should probably be changed but I really couldn't care less.
