Is there going to be a decision on Thursday?
I can guarantee we are gonna enjoy next week when a certain executive speaks ;)
Again, they are only quoting the press release from yesterday. Nothing in that article shows that City are finally standing up to UEFA. They don’t blame anyone specifically for the leaks. The Torygraph are the ones speculating where the leak came from.
You are in for a surprise mate. Khaldoon and the club are and will be pushing back publicly. They've had enough.
That sounds dangerously legal to me.
Not just are they acting in bad faith but are spoiling the reputation of our 'brand'.
They will need some pretty good lawyers if this doesn't go away quickly.

Isn't Rick Parry on the New York Cosmos board? The team that lost out to New York City for the final MLS franchise.I'd say that's come directly from City. They've shown links with the Telegraph before. I think that shows that the club blame Rick Parry for the leak, and are subtly threatening him by mentioning "commercial activities" or whatever it was.

I quite fancy most players (of the intelligent variety) will see right through this. And maybe to deter new signings
It would appear that some of the media are finally looking at UEFA, specifically the conflicts of interest, and putting 2 and 2 together and, finally, getting 4 instead of 5.

If anything this " bad" press could end up working in our favour.
He has already done that over the phone yesterday to Rick Parry and David Gill.Highly unlikely but I'd love it if it went something like this;
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Got to read, if not read already.
I’ve since asked him about their historic ties to LFC, still radio silence from him. This is where social media becomes a useful tool. Yesterday I suggested the link with Parry should be put more widely into the twittersphere. I know @TheThirdDeano posed the question to the journalist who broke the latest story whether Mr Parry was the source of the leak.
Today, one or two of the papers are picking it up. Most journos are lazy and will only run with something if someone else points them at it. Moreso if many people are raising issues.
The thing is that, in my opinion, there's an even bigger story here for anyone who cares to look (rather than tactfully avert their gaze) and that is one we've been aware of for ages (because we've looked) that UEFA is a front for a competition-rigging cartel. Something that renders the CL valueless as a competitive sporting event.
They've gone beyond the obvious seedings, 'historical importance" and other contrivances to benefit themselves and branched out into open protectionism. On what planet would a business have to submit its business plan to its competitors for their approval (or not) ? In what world would sporting competitors openly connive at thwarting competition ?
It's brazen and overt competition-fixing and if there are any real journalists left out there, they should be putting these questions to Messrs Parry and Gill and their cronies.
Imagine the damages which could be claimed from transfers or sponsors turning us down because of that leak.
