For anyone interested, we've played 46 games between der spiegel revealing Mancini's payments and today. Which means at a minimum, Guardiola has done 91 press conferences, this being the 92nd.

How many times has Rob Harris felt the need to ask Pep this "important" question before today? Seemingly none.
What payments to bobby?

Guardiola got asked if he has received payments from Abu Dhabi for services other than managing City, as was alleged to have happened with Mancini. He was not happy. “Do you realise what you are asking me? You are asking me that the day we won the treble? Are you accusing me?”

As for extra payments to Bob or anyone for that matter, surely the only thing that matters is contracts are not breached and that all earnings are the subject of tax?

Its an absolute fucking nothing attempt at throwing shit and hoping it somehow sticks.

Just part read Miguel Delany’s Write up of today.

Complete hatchet job. Spends more time bitching about the usual stuff than does talking about the match.

As I say, only read part of it as was stomach churningly biased.

Who the fuck asked that?

Who is that in photo with him?

Hmmm.

These journalists have completely lost perspective.

All this talk of having a bottomless pit of money and unlimited funds completely distorts the truth and has made people think it's impossible for anyone to compete with us. In reality, we can only put 11 players on the pitch and 7 on the bench like everyone else.

Despite the constant regurgitation that we have a massive squad, we really don't, it's no bigger than anyone else's.

It's not like we have the best player in the world in every position which is how it's portrayed. At the time of signing these players; Sterling was a wate of money who couldn't shoot and would be overshadowed by Jordan Ibe, De Bruyne was a Chelsea reject, Walker can't cross, Stones can't defend etc.

Quite simply, they can't handle that Guardiola has coached us into the best team in the world and have to use money to explain it away.

Exactly.

I am convinced this is in large part down to good old fashioned racism.

And the current British media perspective is especially ironic given we are, in a very real way, responsible for many of the current issues in the Middle East. We helped create the very conflict that they are attempting to saddle our club with blame.

I think some of it is probably down to that, but imo it's mostly a mixture of clickbait & selling & the fact that the media has many more fans of other clubs, rather than City.

It isn't new. Utd & Southern teams were getting this kind of favouritism when Mike Summerbee was playing but there weren't so many of them in those days & no internet. Then along came the scousers, winning in Europe.

If City keep this up, the future media turds will either be City fans or have City as their 2nd favourite team, like Tyler does with rags & Liverpool.

You know what I'm getting really sick of this now. Fucking football journalists all trying to act like hard hitting investigative journalists about our owners and our finances. You're a fucking football journalist. You write about 22 men kicking a bag of wind into a net for a living. Stop fucking deluding yourselves to think you are anything more you no talent scumbags. Fuck the lot of them.

Most of them know fuck all about the football, either. They never report on it.
Like other have said, they're like the pissed up bloke in a bar.
