The Conservative Party

Most of the candidates will threaten it to win the nomination although only Johnson (so far) has been dumb enough to say we will leave on 31st October which we won’t.

It’s remarkable to see that the candidates are just parroting everything May has been saying for the last three years having seemingly learnt nothing from the negotiations with the EU to date. Ah well. You can’t fix stupid I guess.

I reckon we may not have a choice as I reckon the Eu are now rightly bored with the whole thing and the U.K. needs to put up or shut up.

We can’t have this never ending transisitional period it’s not good for anyone

The more you read back on what these absolute cunts said & did, the more sickening it gets.

And still millions are happy to help these horrible, untrustworthy people in their quest for power, in which Brexit is just a tool, not the endgame.

A Working Class Tory is Something to Be

I wouldn't completely rule him out, if Boris gets chopped down.

They are desperate, so having a non white bloke at the top, might be a trick they'd consider.

They might.

Power, getting it and keeping it, has always been their first priority.

They'd hold their nose and vote for anyone that will keep them in and Corbyn out.

They'd vote for anyone who they thought would keep them in power, full stop.

That's the biggest problem Boris has: whether some of them will consider him a vote loser.

He won’t get it but imagine the piss boiling if he did ?

Generally speaking Tories only put up candidates from ethnic minority backgrounds as spoilers or no hopers.

Meet Shaun Bailey, Tory candidate for London Mayor....

Proof positive that you don't need to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to be a complete idiot.

I think Javid is a sensible head who would command respect unlike boris. I don’t particularly like any of them but he’s probably the better of a very bad bunch

Depends on how gullible you think the British people are.

Or more importantly just how gullible the hang em and flog em Tory Party membership think they are.

I've a feeling the shire Tories have lost their minds, if Boris gets on the ballot he'll romp home with the walking dead.

The only thing that will keep this shower in power at the next GE is the even worse bunch of f**k wits in charge of the Labour party. What a total embarrassment. Just listened to Raab on Marr who came out with all the usual platitudes and nice words but ultimately had no substance. He was followed by Shami Chakrabarti. An ardent remainer but her answers to Marrs questions showed she clearly had even less of an idea of what was possible with regards to Brexit. Both clueless her more so.

The problem the new hard Brexit PM will have is that we will still need a transition period in the event of No Deal to make sure basic things like air and road travel and supply of medicines and all the thousand and one other things we rely on continue to operate, and the EU will insist on us signing the WA to begin this process.
So here's a tip to all the wannabe PM Tories.
Campaign on the basis that you will sign the WA but with the backstop applicable only to NI ( the EU will agree to that and will reopen the WA as it was their preferred option, it was Mavis who insisted that the backstop be UK wide). Then change the PD to future negotiation of a Canada type free trade deal in the transition period. This gives time to avoid the shock of cliff edge no deal.
If the DUP don't like it, have a general election in which the above is the official Tory Brexit policy.
Job's a good 'un.

She looked like she’d just got out of bed after a heavy night!

Just shut up then, and revoke.

Johnson might just do that.

The man believes his own hubris, Gove certainly believes his, positioning himself as the man to defeat Corbyn, based entirely on that execrable speech of his in the HoC.

Everything seems to be about Brexit and its consequences, but the Tories don't give a shit if the great unwashed suffer, their greatest fear is Corbyn, he's the only thing that unites them, he's everything they despise made flesh.

Listened to Liam Fox this morning on Pienaar - piss funny - asked " if we leave on a no deal Brexit can you guarantee there will be little disruption and no shortages for the British people "

Answer " I think the question you are asking is we shouldn't be doing anything that threatens the Union...."

None of them can say what a No Deal WTO departure will mean.
