With the exception of a DM I suspect City are not really sure what positions they are in the market for until certain players decide if they are staying or going. It could be that if things fall into place we might only need 2 players and then we can go balls deep for our primary targets. If 4 or 5 decide to move on then any transfer budget needs to be recut and deployed differently. I suspect we have targets and are a long way down the road but we can’t press many buttons yet until a number of players make up their minds. I suspect we’ll see internal business completed before we go bringing in new players.
