Judging by your English you are not from the UK. I'm not sure how metropolitan areas are organised in your country, but Liverpool is part of Merseyside. That immediately increases the local population to 1.4m. The immediate hinterland to that is North Wales, Cheshire , Lancashire . That's a big population within spitting distance.

It's a bit like Man Utd. They are based in Salford. Salford is part of Greater Manchester just like Manchester itself. Beyond that is a hinterland of Lancs and Cheshire.I don't know offhand what the population of Salford is, but it's going to be a lot smaller than the number of people who attended their 1999 treble parade.

It's ridiculous to question official police figured for what is a non-political parade. There is absolutely zero incentive for the cops to report a fraudulent number.

I see this twat us back

How is the population size of the city relevant?

Liverpool are well supported all over the UK. What's the total population of the total area within say 4 hours drive of Liverpool? 30 or 40 million?

It's not going to give me sleepless nights either way, but the police estimated a crowd upwards of 750,000. Why is that in any way incredible, especially if you consider they just won the biggest trophy in club football.

N
What do you fucking know with a user name like that, there wasn't 750k there, we know it and fucking merseyside police know it, like people are saying, they can estimate this but can't find a few a scousers who attacked a team bus, the whole of merseyside is corrupt, gooner6729 how did your parade go, oops!

Nakrani lost his shit with me last season when i mentioned Liverpool's "fucking flags". Got whatsapped and demanded an apology. Very protective of their flags it seems.

The deluded Dipper fans and their ludicrously partisan friends in the media can extol their scratchy CL win and belittle out truly outstanding clean sweep of domestic trophies all they like. We know which is by far the greater achievement and which by far the better team. And guess what? Just below the surface of this desperate Dipper-world bravado, so do they. The fanatic always harbours doubt.

Their inability to cope with the world of social media, and people working them out is endlessly amusing. Especially the thin-skinned ones, like him or Jonathan Agnew.

From SSN report on the parade

"A sea of red adorned every inch of the eight-mile stretch, with flares and tickertape launched throughout as supporters waited for a glimpse of their heroes from any vantage point possible"

Now i know this is a lie, you know why i know this is a lie because i seen it on sky main news channel. not only where there empty inches there where empty feet, yards and in places even empty miles. So fuck off sky with your bullshit made up stories.

It’s also apparently ridiculous to question official Liverpool police actions for what was a non-political coach drive of a mile or so. There is apparently zero incentive for the cops to report or convict locals who attacked the coach, despite hours of media/social footage and police personnel being on the scene with bodycams etc.

Trust in any actions/reports by Liverpool police in relation to Liverpool FC, is to say the least, nonexistent

I'm actually glad we are not media darlings, we are MCFC, let's hope it never changes.
Even though we are now football elite I think we will always be anti-establishment. It's actually the right place for City fans to be. I think City fans love being been outsiders in many ways. I was worried this might change when we inherited all this wealth but I am pleased to say our fanbase has remained stubbornly awkward. We have got some glory hunters but not as many as Chelsea gained in their first 10 years under Abramovich.
