They went from Childwall along Queens Drive and didn't go near Anfield.

That's another reason its bollocks. Closing Queens Drive would have ground the city to a standstill so how did everyone get there?
Walked from the four corners of the world like disciples and bowed down to the messiah that is klopp who I believe at the end of the parade managed to feed them all with just one pan of scouse and two loaves of bread.....

Whatever we might think of them being gifted points by goalkeeping errors, or blatant offsides not being chalked off, and players going to ground a little too easily, I have to agree with this. That game at ours back in January was a monumental battle and while I thought we were just about the better team on the night, we had to be at our best to get over the line. I felt Liverpool missed a trick by going too defensive in midfield and they should've started Fabinho, but they kept their shape really well and I came away from there thinking there was little chance that anyone else would beat them in the remaining games and so it proved. It's not just ability wise where both teams are way ahead of the others - for me, a lot of it is down to how strong we and they are mentally, and that mental strength leads to the kind of consistency where we won our last 14 league games and they won their last 9. Those stats are unheard of from 2 teams fighting it out for a title in England. Arsenal won their last 13 games of the 2001-02 season but none of their contenders for the title put together a winning run to the end like Liverpool did this season.
Their standard tactics is 2CB protected by 3DM.
2FB provide attacking support to the forwards.
They're not really FBs and rely on the DMs for defensive support.
DMs hoof the ball for a game of kick-chase.
Heavy Metal Football, no finesse, no B-Side.

Ok thanks for correcting me. That is probably about five miles. Personally I think it was clearly a fantastic turn-out. There is no point being bitter about these sort of things. Liverpool have got a huge worldwide fanbase, much bigger than ours. What does annoy me is the constant mocking of our support by the media. We have tremendous support home and away whatever the results.
Also all this Liverpool are special stuff is bollocks. The best fans I have met this season on my travels were at Newport County...they were bloody great. All hard-core fans are great in my view. Not the tossers on Twitter, the ones that turn up on a wet Tuesday night in the rain.

This... its Big Sam football with better players.

It wont last, they will fade just like Dortmund did because they will burn players out, and teams will get used to it and adopt better systems to counter their style.

Yes, they had a great turnout but 750,000 is just bollocks in a city with a population of 450,000, half of whom wouldn't be interested in football and half of what's left would be Everton fans. It would mean at least half a million coming from out of town while the main orbital route was closed for the parade.

In Madrid for the bleedin' Champions League final ...

Stand about singing about Chelsea.

Rent free etc etc ...

6 times?? As soon as the competition became 'The Top 3 / 4 Cup' the original European Cup (for the CHAMPIONS) should have been consigned to history, the word they love so much. They have won it in it's new format 2 times and I'll happily show them 2 fingers if they keep using 6

Liverpool population 500,000
Parade attendance. 750,000

With all them empty houses , how many burglaries were reported to the Merseyside police?

A spokeswoman for Liverpool City Council said there was near to half-a-million people out on the streets for the parade, but city mayor Joe Anderson put the figure closer to 750,000. The city's population is 552,000.

Hmmm
I heard that it was the greatest movement of British people since the invasion of Europe in 1945, closer to 1,000,000.

PS (All walking along with the bus)

The content of the posts in this thread is so boring. You criticise "bin dippers" for being delusional, and it goes on for 2275 pages. I know there are many insufferable Liverpool supporters but you lot are just as bad in many ways. No valuable discussion to be found anywhere.
It's a fair comment.

Do you believe that many of your fans are delusional?

I've heard people in the media, people with responsible jobs running councils etc. talking unimaginable nonsense that you wouldn't expect a person in that position to come out with.

I expect the same people in the not too distant future to accuse City of Spending too much, and that their spending should be curtailed or for them to be banned from every competition.

But then again, this would not be delusional in any way at all.

Wildly and annoyingly distorted as this whole Dipperworld bandwagon is at the moment, I’m just content to know that our achievement is the greater our team the superior. Whatever anyone says to the contrary, that’s incontestable. So fuck off to all those who dare to say otherwise. We know the truth of the matter. And - not so deep down - so do they.

I think that's being a bit unfair. They're a far better team than you give them credit for. We're the best team in the league, and had to work extremely hard just to edge the two games against them (overall) this season. They don't play as good football as us, obviously, but their style is particularly effective. Like it or not, they're going to be our main challengers again next season.
I disagree. We were soundly beaten on a few occasions this year I admit but they had some quite frankly embarrassing luck go in their favour to even be in contention in the end. Almost looked fixed with some of the decision making by players and keepers especially.

Their style is effective because the other 18 teams in the prem were crap. I'm expecting a much bigger challenge from Chelsea next year as a minimum.
