Mainly because the allegations had come from the Leicester doctor in the Sunday Times

"The Leicester doctor".

Well that's just made up. He was not connected to Leicester City at all, he bragged about doping players from Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea and Birmingham and had zero evidence to back it up.

It's not pedantry, your version of events where the Leicester City doctor made allegations he doped players is a complete fiction.

It's about as realistic as Mark Goldbridge claiming Sané didn't go to the world cup because he was doping, or the conspiracy theories every time Cugat treats a City player.

Bluemoon was absolutely convinced Leicester were doping in 2015/16, there were hundreds of posts about it, so lets not pretend like it's some mad RAWK only phenomenon to throw those accusations around.

Well judging by the standard set the season before and returned to the season after Leicester’s performances were atypically high. City have actually simply operated at the same sort of level as last season and the latter part of the season before. That’s what makes the RAWK theory more difficult to view as rational.

No I was bringing up an article, partly forgotten, where a doctor had admitted to doping footballers. The article was quite a topic for discussion on here.
Meanwhile you were trying to besmirch posters on here as if they were manic loons throwing allegations befitting RAWK.

Team came from nowhere to win PL while displaying phenomenal amounts of energy, before sinking again to mid table
=
Team with some of the best players in the league (stamina, skill, football brains, all of which are a factor in pressing effectively) managed by the best pressing coach in the game, presses effectively while being 2nd in the league.

Makes sense.

Mind you, I would agree Leicester doping talk was just speculative, more to do with surprise factor, lack of CL = fewer games (as with Chelsea next year) and opposition teams having a collective worst year ever.

But there is a vast difference between city fans speculating about Leicester and Liverpool cultists on their latest hallucination.

CL last 16 games may have a big influence on the league title.

I watched Bayern v Schalke on BT Sport and Bayern won 3-1 but the game is pedestrian compared to the Premier League at least that's what I thought. They had Boateng playing central defence and he had time to pass the ball out from defence.

If Bayern beat Liverpool it may kill them off. Psychologically losing such a big game on top of defeat to City will be damaging but I think Liverpool could sweep Bayern aside if Liverpool play their high intensity game which they are capable of. The ramifications of that CL tie could inspire or destroy Liverpool

Maybe.

But I think their obsession to win the PL would put aside a CL blow within a second and they would "concentrate on the league".

Given they have a poor bench but a good 1st team,
I think they only have a chance to win the league if they are knocked out vs Bayern and from then on
only will have 1 match per week. That would be doable, if they don't lose their minds and bottle it under pressure.

If they progress in CL they would have to rotate for PL matches in a title race, which could cause some problems.

Looking at their forums the fans are all looking forward to playing Bayern, having more Anfield night games to get the crowd going etc. They definitely don't want to be left with just the league.
