Neymar

I'll stop you right here and not evne read the following after this premise.

Since you don't watch PSG games, i'd advise you to look at his stats rating :

https://www.whoscored.com/Players/50835/History/Neymar

Here, Neymar is the only PSG player in the group stage best XI team : https://www.whoscored.com/Regions/2...4/Show/Europe-UEFA-Champions-League-2018-2019
All his stats have gone up while being at PSG, even in the UCL if you want to dismiss them as being done in Ligue 1. The only problem of Neymar is that he is injured when CL knockouts start and it is the only place casual will watch PSG play and see Neymar perform, or give him credit for.

He gets kicked up and down the pitch most games. The most comparable player to him is Hazard and he also goes down easily.
Cant really argue that fact mate but watching him squirm at the world cup on the touchline was it for me...
The man is a genius but he just does not need to pile in like a 6 year old girl after every tackle, fair or otherwise..,!

Rubbish, you can't have stratospheric numbers when you aren't even playing half the season - get a grip. Trying to manufacture an argument out of the ether. Neymar has been a disappointment in footballing terms, I have no idea off the pitch. On it, he's not the same player and not for the better. I don't see it improving but would be happy to be proven wrong

He should be, presently, the undisputed best player on the planet. The fact that he is not even the most dangerous player on his team reflects just how far off that path he is now. I am sure I have watched the player more than you have and I know how good he is and can be, he lacks the edge that the elite in the game all had = a relentless obsession to dominate and put the work in to ensure you deliver. He is far from that profile and closer to a show pony

I see a lot of words but none that explain why a completely independent data and statistics source like WhoScored would have him with higher ratings at PSG if he wasn't stratospheric when not injured.
By your own admission, he was stratospheric at Barcelona. Yet, his rating in both league and Champions League are higher for the matches he was available (before his big injuries) at PSG. The logical conclusion for me is that you are talking bollocks and you don't even watch him play at PSG.
Or maybe WhoScored is biased against Barcelona and towards PSG.

Guess they don't teach much about power & sample sizes in gymnase en France - nothing logical in your conclusions but ne me surprend pas

Or you can't admit you are wrong.

Check what i said in the very post you quoted earlier in this discussion : "he was stratospheric before his two big injuries".
You said it is impossible, he was only stratospheric at Barcelona but at PSG he is just a show poney.
Now , i provide you cold hard statistics and rating from his game at PSG where he has in average way higher ratings and then you talk about power and sample sizes ?

You are quite funny when your grandiloquent rants that are based on nothing but your delusion are so easily debunked.
You can't refute the evidence so you try some ad hominem attack. Pretty sad. I'll be at your service when you'll be able to explain to me why is ratings are so high at PSG and higher than at Barcelona , even in Champions League.

He needs to stop being injured.
Injured in France, in Brazil , in Spain is the same. Look how low Bale reputation has fallen for being injured , while being instrumental in several Real Madrid CL wins.

Professional footballers do not get injured on purpose. Really pisses me off when would be experts diss them off for being injured.
It was the same at times with kompany, Most pros finish their careers with lifelong injuries. You don't seem to understand that.

I'm confused.

Where did i say Neymar is getting injured on purpose ?

I think he has terrible luck, Brazil has terrible luck and PSG has terrible luck that he has suffered such injuries.
I have never been critical of his injuries because they are the consequences of traumatism. Was not his fault when he was almost disabled during the 2014 World Cup, not his fault when an OM player hits his foot. I would have been more critical if it were some kind of muscular injuries that can be a consequences of his lifestyle.

When i say "he needs to stop being injured", i want to convey the idea that, if that were the case, he would not be so much underrated. People talking about his sister birthday are just memeing (i hope), because no one would like to be sidelined during 3 or 4 months for fun.

Hasn't he picked up a suspension on more than one occasion around said time?

Ok then , let you off, sorry.

The "injuries" around his sisters birthday are just suspensions now, im pretty sure he has timed it just right in most years since he moved to Europe.

I'll not speak about his time at Barcelona because i'm not as informed as i'm about his time at PSG, and i could fell for the propaganda.

At PSG, he got injured between the first and return leg against Real Madrid and was out for the rest of the season.
And here comes the real problem with PSG and Neymar, imo : Neymar gives the authority of his treatment to the Brazil medical team. As a consequence, he did his rehabilitation in Brazil and everything was done with the incoming World Cup in mind.
As we all know, he was not really fit for that World Cup. Even at the start of the season at PSG, he was still not his usual self. After 1 or 2 months, he started putting his world class performances regularly again.
However, it turned out that in their rush to play the World Cup, they didn't let his injury heal properly and he injured himself again with PSG. PSG is basically the victim of Neymar and Brazil choice. Hilarious they have little to no say in the treatment of their most valued and paid player.

For the second injury, he went to Brazil again to be treated but he was already back in Paris before the date of his sister birthday.
