Fact, he is 100% a blue. People might not like his writing or understand why he writes what he writes (maybe he is told the angle to focus on and he does have bills to pay) but that is the same as having a mate who votes a different way to you but you still go out for a drink and don’t end up arguing.

He is i have had the opportunity to meet and speak with him and hes City through and through, clever bloke unlke some of the people that call themselves Journalists.
Read some of his articles, books.

Hi David,

While you're here, can you comment on the debacle at FCUM? Been waiting for ages.

Cheers.

Isn't it perfectly normal and routine in any court case (since the dawn of the legal system) where one party faces legal proceedings for that party's legal team to explore whether due process was followed fairly and reasonably ? If due process doesn't appear to have been followed then the legal team will seek to eliminate a decision (EUFA's decision for example) being made outside due process. Whatever the outcome of this part of the case, City's legal team are still free to appeal whatever verdict UEFA attempt to hand down because following due process does not automatically mean any decision is fair and reasonable. Advice please.....

See Petrusha's analysis above which is spot on.
Just done exactly that then came across your reply to my post.

I think I trust the judgement of our legal team whatever the outcome. I am in no way legally trained but am a believer in horses for courses and frankly feel we have given them enough rope to hang themselves.
As Joe Mercer once said dont have a short short temper, instead have a long memory.

I have never heard that quote from the legendary Joe Mercer but if he actually said it then it applies perfectly to the current management of the club. Cool, considered rather than knee-jerk.

Point me in the direction of the last pro City article written by Conn. I bet I can find twice as many negative ones.

David Conn is a big City fan and respected journalist, previously wrote a book about City "Richer than God" he will only tell it as it is, unlike some of the weasels that call themselves Journalist. He has written some excellent football and finance articles over the years, some about City.

He may be a City fan but he’s been anti since the take over. Never had a good word to say about us for the last 10 years

I think he linked it to individual players or even his assistant Malcolm Allison but it seemed appropriate.

No its not a fact. Conn made it clear that his sympathies lay with FC Utd in “Richer than God.”

He's a City fan, but it's a City that exists entirely in his head, completely divorced from reality.

His love isn't nostalgia for a City once pure (crap but pure), it is a fantasy love for an imaginary club, noble in defeat, with a fan base united in adversity, a club glorious in its penury, but it's all a fabrication, City was never like that.

It seems that in his angst he's constructed a sepia/sky blue coloured lie, he truly believes he's the keeper of the flame, and poor bastards like you and I lack the wit to see it.
