João Félix

According to the average poster in this thread a lot of people feel the same way, but the delusional minority of some of you justify everything we are after. Let's just pay 200 mil or more on the next talent.
Just happy to leave it to the club, do you think they cant be trusted to know whats affordable or value, and Txiki and Pep cant be trusted to identify our targets. Are they deluded too ?

Anyone above the 70 mil which isn't proven is. This market is truly outrageous. And the most worrying thing is, people like you seems to find those numbers normal. Secondly, I'm not saying that we have signed him. I'm saying that he most likely will end up at city. A lot of articles are speculated on that. The whole purpose off this topic. We are the current front leaders with this players. Third, it's not about the improvement of players, even talented championship players over time will improve. It's the numbers that don't convince me at the moment that we should pay that amount on him. It's not pocket exchange.

All players are a gamble just look at Coutinho 140m flop! its up to the club to do there research on a player and at the moment with our buys we have mainly been spot on! If we buy him he wont be for anywhere near the €120m fee it be way more lower. You have to trust the club if you don't its your problem.

100k a week doesn't smash our wage structure
It’s being quoted as 6m a year after tax, which means around 200 grand a week which puts him in our 2nd tier wage structure band alongside the likes of Sterling & Bernardo, and above the likes of Marhez & Sane. Just can’t see us blowing a structure that’s worked for 10 years unless pep and co think we really can’t miss out on him.

Coutinho was never worth the money Barca paid as he was over-hyped whilst at the dippers , and Barca were desperate following the loss of their golden boy .

I’ve simply read it quoted as £5.5m per year. Nothing about net of tax.

I’ve read a quote from Benfica president somewhere today saying something along the lines of “we can’t make him stay when he is being offered 6 million a year after tax”
