Carvalho was also greatThat Portugal DM Danilo would make a good DM, he was an absolute rock today and didn't place a wrong pass

I bet you're hoping that Real can't shift some of their fringe players aren't you Barca. Would leave them with a ridiculous size squad of just under forty players. Absolute madness.Transfers of Primera Liga players can only begin on July 1 although players can still be signed before that from outside the league (RM have already wrapped up nearly 300M in transfers, for example).
Buy out clauses can be paid by the buying club (Foreign or domestic) or the player, the only question used to be about the tax implications but that changed 2 or 3 years ago. Now the club can deposit the money to the player without any negotiation needed. Either way, player would have to wait until July 1 to do this, provided he wants to leave/accept the buying club's terms

Cheers mate, so just to clarify Rodri can't activate his buy out clause until July 1st. It will save a whole load of flapping if people understand this.

They have FFP concerns, part of the danger of wrapping up your business/expenditures so quickly/early. Bale alone will be a difficult piece to contend with but a fire sale is no doubt imminent - not to forget they also have James returning too
Simple, if they fail ffp, ffp will be scrapped and they(uefa and cartel) will find a way to shift blame to city and/or psg, until it comes back later in a different shape to target..city and psg :)They have FFP concerns, part of the danger of wrapping up your business/expenditures so quickly/early. Do you think Atletico want him to stay? I read somewhere they had already got a replacement? The implication was they didn't like the uncertainty, maybe that was just the media slant? The July 1 date is merely when it can be official, they can already make it clear to Cerezo & Atletico intentions to leave even today. However, a couple of things. One, the club has time to respond to speculation and offer the player assurances or better wages, in which case he will stay. Two, I read his interview from Onda Madrid while with U21 earlier in the week - he did not sound like a player who is thinking of leaving
Maybe he's talking about not wanting to play so defensively as a team - if he was playing for us he wouldn't be playing as defensively as for AtleticoChatting with a very knowledgeable Aletico fan last night.
He says Rodri is a good player, in the mould of Busquets.
Apparently Rodri annoyed Simeone by saying he didn't want to defend so much. Which given he's the defensive midfielder of 3 was strange especially when you think of how the team plays.
Probably means he'll be much happier playing for us.

You think we’re intentionally delaying his signature to save a few weeks wages?
Its the levy way he signs his players on the last day of the window to get a bargain and save money.
Every club does.
Sounds like we should be firming up the backup options, doesn't sound like a guy who is 100% convinced by our project here. Maybe a deadline should be given for his decision? Ferny's replacement is probably the most important transfer this summer.I believe the club want him to stay as does the player but he’s a business major too so if Cerezo fails to improve his wages then the allure of working with Pep could tip the scales. In that recent interview, as I mentioned, he sounded like a player who was going nowhere but you never know

Personally I think all things being equal he remains, even with allure of Pep - just my thinking
