I think that the only way we will pay that kind of money for Maguire is if they buy Roberts or similar, to get the total fee down closer to our usual max.

Maguire is a SLOW, over-rated donkey who would not be on anyone’s radar if he wasn’t English. Even Pep discusses this in All or Nothing when we played them!!
I doubt City have EVER had any interest in Maguire and believe this is all paper talk.
We have Fernandinho for coverage in a pinch, even if Pep isn’t willing to blood Garcia, which I think he is. Sandler looks like he might be considered behind Garcia, but we’ve paid good money for both, and I expect them to be utilized, along with another young CB coming in this summer.
