I'll go for Duncan McKenzie's at Nottingham Forest in the FA cup 4th round in January 1974, when we lost 4-1.
Once in a career hit that was. Absolutely caught it perfectly.Townsend last season must be up there
Go on then ;)After watching City home and away for 57 years you've got to be kidding.

I can't even remember the goal, mind you I spent half the game keeping an eye out for some of the Forest nutters who were looking for trouble.Known locally as The Duncan Mckenzie game.what was so good about it..as I don't think there is any footage anywhere
City beat by 2nd div side ..and well beaten by the sound of it...someone says the crossbar had to be replaced and game held up for half an hour !
You know it's summer when threads like this start appearing.
I'm starting a "most painful time I got kicked in the crotch" thread over in the Off Topic section if anyone wants to follow me.
I've heard it was a day of violence ..City with a reduced turn out due to national train strikes/travel problems..I can't even remember the goal, mind you I spent half the game keeping an eye out for some of the Forest nutters who were looking for trouble.
He dribbled past virtually the entire City defence before slotting home. Shortly afterwards he signed for Leeds.Known locally as The Duncan Mckenzie game.what was so good about it..as I don't think there is any footage anywhere

I remember the goal well! £5m well spent on the back of it eh!!Apparently Jon Macken scored from the halfway line against us after about 30 secs. Missed it as I was late getting in. Won’t hold it against him though.
