I was alluding to why they only showed the one angle on a loop to the referee in a previous page. ;-)

Appalling VAR decision in the France v Norway game. French girl jumps in two footed and the Norway player kicked at the ball brushing it before connecting with the French girl.

France awarded a penalty, what about the two footed jump by their player.

Not at all convinced VAR will improve the game.

VAR should enhance the game, delivering results that reflect what happens during the game. Unfortunately, from what we have seen of FIFA and Uefa VAR applications it's gonna destroy it.

That seems to be standard for VAR when the organisers want a specific outcome! Seem to remember some Turkish ref only being offered an obscure view of an incident in a vaguely remembered CL game from last season.

I have almost no faith left, to be honest.

Every third time it is used the current implementation comes off as deeply flawed, bent, or both.

Does anyone actually have a video of the USA celebrations? I watched a highlights video but it just included the goals and the immediate celebrations after each goal all seemed fairly standard for a team hammering an opponent. Not much different to the City Burton game celebrations.

How the ref gave that as a pen is beyond me. She gave a goal kick without hesitation and I don’t even think anyone appealed for a penalty. After looking at the replay she should have given a free kick to a Norway and booked the French player for diving in two footed.
