I said as much as seasons end. He wasn't as into the celebrations as the other guys. You'd see him get crazy and roudy with teammates. But during presentations, raising trophies, taking pictures etc. He was reserved and quiet. I noted it at the time.There was just something about him last season. Seems like his made up his mind long ago. Obviously he’s enjoying every bit of the attention. Can’t fault him for wanting to leave tho. Hopefully we get a decent fee.
:( I guess that's just how life is at big clubs. All the top players aren't happy so some leave.

I did say I was worried about the knee and ankle injuries he had been picking up and whether he could get back to his peak.

That's very different than expressing a concern what impact his injuries will have on his best football.

If a player relies on speed as a main attribute , a series of injuries or a chronic injury can make it difficult for that player to return to former levels.
However De Bruyne's chief attribute is speed of thought, I doubt that has been compromised. His injuries have not been long term and shouldn't cause chronic issues.
Obviously more injuries will be a great blow to our team.
