The Conservative Party

First time ive heard Stewart speak, and while his frame would suggest weak, his words prove otherwise.

Definitely a man worth listening to.

You have to consider the people they are actually trying to sell themselves to, fellow Tory MPs and members. Like everything at the moment the divide to me is Boris vs the best person to beat him. I think remain Tory MPs may like Rory but they know they need someone who has a chance with the membership.

Just my view mind maybe I’m over complicating it.

Well that just confirmed that Raab is as thick as pigshit and Gove, Hunt and Javid are just tough talking bullshitters with no feasible way of backing up their bravado. Stewart is the only one vaguely credible but he was embarrassingly milking his bin analogy. However it all means nothing because of the elephant not in the room.
Yeah the bin analogy was to put it mildly somewhat embarassing.

All the (non Brexit) priorities these jokers talked about were to do with putting right the effects of the disastrous Tory policies of the last nine years that they were instrumental in implementing!
YCNMIU Jeff!

I'm not sure he's a decent human being although I do think he could get to the last two. Pretty irrelevant though as those fuckin tory wasters who matter only have eyes for that rancid piece of shit Johnson

A worldly wise cynic might think a clever outsider may look at the opposition and realises to have a chance needs to be different to the others. Decent or playing the part. One thing that always strikes me is how all these good chaps suddenly appear heart broken about mental illness and social care just before they want a X next to their name.

Just beat me to it.

Fool me once etc....

I don't see any politician, from any party, being even close to ideal.......there is literally no MP i can think of with the character or moral fibre worthy of my respect, hence my use of the phrase.

So,instead of getting all outraged about my comment,is anyone going to give me their thoughts and reasoning on an alternative?
Spot on

He's got his feet up as Borris, knows it's done and dusted. He must feel like when Trump said he could shoot someone on Fifth avenue and he'd still get voted in. Those members fuckin love him Hilts.

No preconceptions mate. Tories have brought this country to it's current existential crisis.
If that's preconception then fair enough count me in.

The problem is both parties brings this country to its knees in two totally different ways. One way is short term that will bring the country to its knees the other one is long term but also bring the country to its knees! One of these is the right way and the wrong way the other one is the wrong way but the right way! And this is the problem with a two party first past the post politics in this country.

I agree a lot of them do and putting Stewart up against him would be pointless, I wouldn’t totally rule out Gove beating him if he gets there. The non show and general media silence will have some affect. Plus when he does get in front of the cameras I think he will be shown up.

Run that by me again mate!

Where the fuck is he.

Utter contempt for the nation.

Please don’t let that cretin lead us.

I’d rather any man there than that ****.
Boris avoided the debate as the rules involved he might have been called out for being a ****. The fluffy BBC rules being moderated by one of his mates decided they can only debate policy and theres no audience participation.

Whilst I’m not a Tory, I’ll give them one thing, the way they speak and their articulation and certainty(arrogance) and conviction of their words. Compare that to McDonnell, Corbyn and the rest of Labour’s mob. There is something to be said about private school, there is no insecurity or doubt whatsoever

That said, Raab speaks like and Apprentice candidate

Also, whilst I’ve a vested interest in Rory Stewart, to describe himself as an outsider is absurd. A privately educated, white man who has previously been a diplomat that is in the last 5 of the Tory Party leadership race cannot under any resealable measure be classed as an ‘outsider’

I also liked the way Gove stuck up for Javid when he was asked the ridiculous question about the invite with Trump

Oh alright then nine years of ruinous Tory austerity and bringing the country to it's current existential crisis.
That good enough for you mate.

A party ran by Trotskyite antisemitics.

See how just stereotyping everyone doesn’t work.

And this man is going to be the elected representative to lead nearly 70 million people.

Fucking Christ.
