Angelino

Considering he doesn’t take a place in our squad and we don’t know how long Mendy is out for it makes sense to sign him back and keep him. So no doubt he’s going to be sold on.

I like the sound of this move. Given our issues at left-back it makes a lot of sense to bring him back and keep him around. Obviously immediately selling him on again at a decent profit is good business too but he's always had a lot of talent going forward and clearly he's progressed well since leaving us.

I'd imagine we could sell Delph on for a similar fee to what Angelino would cost and as others have said, maybe Zinchenko could be utilised in a midfield role.

I'd love to have Angelino back and with the team. I prefer Olex and him over Mendy.

it's a smart move for angelino as well.

usually a good young player wouldn't want to come and be 3rd in line, but seeing what Zinchenko, not even a left back, has done and Mendy's fitness would make Angelino very keen to return IMO.

The potential PR positivity from this if we kept him and it turned out to be a success is immense. Young lads would see that leaving City with a buyback clause after a few loans isn't a dead pathway. They'll also see via Foden that you can get into the first team too directly from the academy. Suddenly we would have had both pathways validated. We would have essentially paid PSV a few million to develop him into a squad player for us, which is absolutely fuck all.

Look at this way: about £7m net for a HG, club-trained left-back in a problem position with loads of potential to get better who is also one of the best attacking young FBs in European football? We'd be mad not to activate that clause and keep him around for a year at least.

Everything you say makes perfect sense so no doubt he’ll be sold for a quick profit.

Rave reviews in the Dutch league. Proved himself in the CL against Inter, Spurs and Barca.

Was always an advocate of bringing him back. I hope it’s true, a brilliant move on so many sides.

Actually a leftback as well.

Also he can play as a LW and Pep played him at attacking midfielder in his first season, so he's versatile as well.
