That poll is one of the most frightening things I've ever seen in politics. How did both we and America become countries with a majority of fools? Can you imagine how funny the likes of Russia, China and IS are finding all this?

The fact that they would rather their own party dies to enable Brexit instead of no Brexit but the Tories fight on was the absolute proof that its now a death cult.

The other stupidity was that the only thing they are feared of is a Corbyn led Labour Govt. Can't they even comprehend that the former - the destruction of the Conservatives - leads to the latter anyway?????? Its going to be piss funny when jobs go ( they didn't care ) - the economy takes a hit ( they didn't care ) and their party goes ( they don't care ) post Brexit. Who are they going to complain to? I think you will find on bluemoon and the country in general that the decency of a human being can go up or down depending if they are on your side. We have seen it recently with Rory Stewart and the remainers. Posters whose heads usually explode at the mention of a Tory MP suddenly turned into sycophantic fanboys.

Corbyn,Abbott,McDonnell,Stewart,Blair all get this treatment. It happens less with Tories though as they are less staunch Tories on here.

I have not observed any/many gushing about Johnson at all - just because he may deliver Brexit

People like Blueinsa and to a degree myself are the type of lifelong Labour voters that support Brexit - but, whist we may we tactically pleased that he is going to become the PM at this point, I have not seen any 'gushing' - I have certainly been very critical of his character

I'd put money he won't deliver brexit. That prick will say whatever needs to be said to get himself elected, and will then backtrack and do whatever the fuck he wants once in. He's not stupid, he knows the damage a no-deal brexit will do to this country, and whilst I could be wrong, I suspect he'll find a way of wriggling out of it. No one, leave or remain, should trust this twat.

Well - only based on my trips to watch CITY - should we Remain as an EU member - the Ukraine would appear to be exactly the sort of new member that suits the EU ideologues. Geographically importantly placed and will be a fine and grateful recipient of EU funding.

And of course there are other countries of a similarly needing profile in the pipeline - we should perhaps increase our contributions ;-)

It all depends who he is getting advice from. In recent years advice to Tory PM's has not been great - promise a referendum Dave its the only way to stop UKIP. UKIP get no seats and Daves has backed himself into a corner - call a GE Theresa, Labour are done and Corbyn is useless, you'll get a 100++ seat majority - if Johnson gets in and despite his instincts he is reminded he has said no Brexit is suicide so he had better go through with it he will do so. He isn't a details guy, he will push it through then assume he can muddle through once we get on the other side.

I have already commented on his duplicitous nature - that said I think that he might deliver because I believe that there is the possibility to do so once we move on (dump) from May's deal

Considering what the EU have said, and clearly think of him, I'd be very surprised if they allowed a renegotiation of the WA, especially considering it was his lies that were key in getting people to vote for leave. They fucking hate him, and will enjoy making an arse out of him. I'd say the options are still, May's deal, no-deal, remain. Each of those is a shit outcome for the country. (*I clearly want us to remain, but I'm aware of the anger that would cause)

That's my great hope here. He will be so incompetent that he will fuck Brexit up even further which will guarantee it's death.

I'll take his tax break and sit back and enjoy watching him destroy Brexit and himself.
