So some certain ‘City’ fans think that FFP wasn’t brought in to stop City, of course it was, anybody with any knowledge of FFP knows this.

It was in the pipeline before city was bought out with debt one of the priorities! City being bought out and now loaded had the likes of the scum Arsenal chelsea liverpool and the other history clubs fast track it with the deliberate tweak!

Platini, telegraph nov. 2009:
‘The idea is not to kill the clubs, but help them have better balance. As David Gill says “the devil is in the details”
‘Gill is a very good guy, and perhaps united will resolve the debts in the future. If you put the same [strict] regulations for all the clubs in Europe, they will accept.’
‘Some of the chief executives are not ok with the chance of new regulations (on debt) because they don’t want to change their business.
‘By putting in new rules we will protect the business of Abramovitch, Massimo Morrati (at inter Milan) or Glazer.’

And surely nobody could accuse Platini of not having genuine impartiality and integrity.

Classic villain’s mistake; telling the hero all about the nefarious plot just to sate his own ego.

Premier League scrap the £7m wages cap. Is it a coincidence that Man Utd were were of the teams that would be most severely affected by this rule?

My thoughts exactly- a more corrupt sport is hard to find. I fully expect some unexpected (& with little notice) change in the foreign v home grown quotas to explain rags sudden interest in British (fairly low key) players. Tip off from Gill???

A bit cynical that Marv. When do the rags ever get favours from officialdom ?

If this is true that they have scrapped wage increase in the premier ffp it stinks to high heaven!
The worst bit is the predictability of it, like a few other posters have mentioned it’s clear as day the next one is a decrease in foreign squad places judging by the scums summer spending. Corrupt ****s.

Yep agree City must know that coming next they always a step ahead plus we have very good youth set up all home grown and is why we after Maguire.

Go out and buy more clubs in Europe say from Poland, Sweden, and from Eastern Europe. Then when any good youngsters look good enough to come to us. Then when they are at 14 buy them and train them so by the time they are good enough to come into the 1st team they will qualify as home grown. As you have to have been with the club for 6yrs to qualify for home grown if you come from outside of your clubs base.

This hopefully would keep us well in front of any FFP charges. That UEFA would look to throw at us, but I have no doubt that they will try some other way to get back at us.
