Looking to organise a trip to a game, when we're away. Anyone know date Belgian fixtures are released, can't find anything online.
Was about 23/6 last time.

They're playing Hamburg and Benfica in July mate was all I could find. Might do a game this season myself though.

Just text a Belgian mate to find out and he replied "still unknown".

Apparently its not yet known which clubs will be competing in the first division as the are ongoing court proceedings. In the final game of the 2017/18 between Beveren and Mechelen, Mechelen allegedly offered to pay money to Beveren to let them win, so Mechelen would stay up.

They won 2-0, but Eupen scored 4 goals in the last 12 mins which meant Mechelen got relegated anyway.

Mechelen won the 2nd division last season (and the cup) but as it stands are not being allowed to be promoted or play in the Europa League in the upcoming season. Beveren, Beerschot Antwerp and Lokeren are fighting it out as to who gets to be in the First Division instead.

Anyway, the bit you give a shit about - he isn't expecting the fixtures to be announced before mid-July.

He's just added, that because its not been resolved yet, UEFA have provisionally placed Mechelen in the Europa League Group Stages, and then have Liege entering in the 3rd Qualifying round and Antwerp in the 2nd Qualifying round. In theory, if Mechelen are barred, then Liege will go straight into the Group stage and Antwerp enter in the 3rd instead, and Ghent (who aren't presently in Europe) will enter in the 2nd round.

The issue now is that UEFA have already done the draw for the 2nd round and Antwerp have drawn a side from Romania, and its unsure if they will be allowed to swap the teams or the venue at this point. If not then Ghent will sue the Belgian FA for loss of revenue.

A fine mess.

I gather that the fixtures will be announced today at 12:30 our time. I don't think the Mechelen issue has been completely resolved so fuck knows what will happen with that.

Will be watching some Anderlecht games this year for Vinny and to keep an eye on Yari Verschaeren. The lad has exceptional talent and could have a future at the Etihad if he develops properly.

I had a shufty around the ether and I can't find anything that shows next seasons fixtures. I fancy a cycling trip that includes a visit to an Anderlecht match, now I've bought the Kompers tee-shirt!

Announced at 12.30 today mate.

Mechelen and Beveren will be included but will likely be swapped out for Beerschot and Lokeren respectively.

Fixtures can be found here. They start 2 weeks before the Premier League but it might be a bit close to get cheap flights.

I'll keep half an eye on how Vinnie's getting on in management. He's brought in a lot of players already, including Samir Nasri today.

Samir will certainly bring plenty of experience and great ball retention ability.

That’s if he can be arsed, of course!
