The Conservative Party

We are the only reason that you got the last extension and we got you that for the sake of the citizens of Northern Ireland. There's a vast majority of European countries that just want you to fuck off on any terms and want it over and done with. There's a few that still want a deal, but not enough to sway it without our support. Play hardball over the border and you won't have our support. So go ahead, go for it.
I'd think we were the important ones in that discussion, as we're the ones that won't deal with Johnson.
I really think that if the EU had been faced with a viable walk-away option you would have indeed very clearly seen the genuine extent to which the EU would bow to anything to protect Irish interests

Walk away. Go for it. It's the only option other than the backstop which passes the electorate here.

Scared of the results of a second vote much?

I don't mind tbh, I think we are well rid of you lot at this stage, it's just amusing.

I am sure many other EU states feel the same by now. We won't get another extension - they are all past that now - what will be funny is when we get effectively kicked out without a deal and Boris trying to claim it was all his doing and its actually a victory.

I appreciate that, as a staunch leaver, those would be the options that you would like to see, but I'm sure you realise that there is absolutely zero chance of that happening!

Absolutely agree - utterly zero chance

Just saying what, IMO, the only valid options are - what is right and democratic will not actually be the outcome though

Ah, fair enough. Tbh, I doubt there will be a second referendum in any shape or form anyway.

In the spirit of the calmness sought on the threads - Do you not feel a need to dial down the increasingly strident/aggressive tone of recent posts?

I'm not being aggressive. I'm just stating it as it is. Any UK-EU deal needs to pass a referendum here.

About an 80/20 hoot if it doesn't contain the backstop and hence dead in the water. That's the bit that the Tories haven't figured out yet.

I had it at 90/10 agin it. And right now the Tories are game planning this a month at a time. Any strategic long term thinking was abandoned a long time back.

If more MPs weren't sending their kids to private schools we might see a different approach to funding.

I understand that some on here think perpetuating inequality is fine, what I don´t understand is why it is so difficult to grasp the idea that a socalist might not be in favour of private education, or indeed healthcare.

And it has nothing to do with envy, which is always thrown at us by the right, and everything to do with fairness.

And who do you vote for?

He won't. They won't come back to the table unless we want them to and we won't deal with the likes of him.

You sat on the Irish government cabinet now as well as being a Vanguard sub expert?

Your economy says you will sit and talk to any British PM so drop the billy big bollocks act as its fooling nobody ;-)

You might not intend to be posting in that manner - but read again your last 10 posts or so from the POV of English people that voted Leave - I have to say that they come across that way

Anyway - just saying - and trying to be helpful
