No problem mate. I get your argument now - fascism can't happen here cos Hitler and Mussolini aren't around.
Cool.

Didn't say it cant happen but the trouble is it becomes a bit like the boy that cried wolf and right now all i can hear is lots of crying.

Thats the problem when all you ever do is scream fascist at anyone who doesnt agree with you.

The “lover” of the Brexit Party Chairman apparently was the journalist that leaked it.

These cretins aren’t patriots as they claim. They don’t believe in Britain, they believe in right wing politics and themselves.

Cunts.

The journalist did nothing wrong.

Isabel Oakeshott is the one named, and is in that Trump-Johnson-Bannon chart that got posted up a few days ago.

Remarkable how everything Brexit related pollutes and rots everything it comes into contact with. It’s like watching a country decay on time lapse video.

I don't want to do a comparison, what I was saying is the ONS, an independent body, has all employment
statistics in the UK, and when those statistics prove that employment has risen considerably since the vote,
it gets dismissed as being some sort of government stooge.
Which doesn't surprise me in the slightest, I'm not interested in labouring the point anyway.

I wonder where all those food banks have come from

Sorry but (1) says we'd be better off being at the centre of something inevitable while (2) says that will make the impact of its inevitable failure more severe, the only difference being that it would be more our fault having been at the centre of it.

I can see that if failure of the EU is inevitable we'd be (maybe) better off out of it, but I struggle with why you'd want us to accelerate our (inevitable) full integration. If it's going to collapse would it not be better if we were not in the Eurozone when it happened?

I know this is really about offering a Remain option in a referendum less palatable than just the status quo but Leavers still have to decide which sort of Leave would be on the ballot.
TBF Vic - it's late and I've had a few beers so can not be too bothered....

Best I can offer is if you are on a lifeboat and deep down you know you are going to get pulled down in the whirlpool then you still row as hard as you can - it's the hope that kills you

But frankly, if you really cannot understand...…

I will have another go at explaining in the morning

A lot of people would think that the journalist was only doing her job - no?

And re Tice - given the journalist has said:
“Richard had nothing to do with the cables. He has never seen them, never handled them and was not involved in acquiring them."

“Tempting though it is to put two and two together to make 55, there is no link between him and the ambassador story.”

Are you and others, not in danger of jumping to conclusions?

Really....?

Absolutely not.

No deal will only come about if the EU says enough is enough imo or Boris carries through on his threat but i cant see how he does that and i wouldn't want him to either as its yet another dagger into our domestic politics and democracy.

I still think a deal will be done, maybe not in time for the 31st Oct but nonetheless, a deal will be done.

I was listening to something the other day and they said the EU will always grant extensions and never say enough-is-enough. Because if they do, it is essentially, kicking out an existing member and they don’t want to do that for a variety of reasons

It’s inevitable I’m afraid.

Well that sounds definitive and very reassuring. What were you listening to and who were "they"?
