I can understand why TV companies might be upset about streaming for TV games but its madness that if we played Bournemouth at 3pm only 1200 city fans or whatever it is would be able to watch the game live.

would going through a VPN not be a way to continue watching?
I know. I never said otherwise. At the end of the day, it's still an illegal stream, whether its through the laptop or via iptv.Yes - but however you managed to find the stream i.e. through your IPTV, they will find the stream and shut it down.

If it's the same Tech' as what was used in the UK last year, as it says it is, then they could not take down the streams when a VPN was used.would going through a VPN not be a way to continue watching?
The TV companies are deluded if they think that shutting the streams down is going to lead to a substantial increase in their subscribers.
