the Iranian navy isnt the problem, the Iranian ground/land is, they could take every single ship out in that region before they get spanked, then were going to be paying £20 a gallon

Extremely doubtful they could before long the U.S. will put the tankers into escorted convey's it would be pretty unwise of Iran to risk a conflict with both the UK and USAs military.

We only have 5 destroyers available at any one time.

One type 45 could remove the threat of the Iranian Navy they're some warship bigger than WW2 heavy cruisers and certainly a lot more combat capable than the type 42.
