Politically it is neither acceptable to MP's on all sides of the house and debate because it binds the UK into the EU and relies 100% on having the permission of the EU to leave in the event of no agreement being reached.

Its dead and will never be agreed to.

There are 5 BIP's, 3 in the ROI and 2 in NI based at major ports and airports. It perfectly feasable to build additional BIP's away from the border on either side where sanitary and phytosanitary checks can be done keeping in mind the UK will adopt the exact same EU standards we currently share for animal welfare and food.

The CTA will ensure the FOM will never change.

Once again for those at the back.....

The UK is NOT in the Schengen zone .... We only subscribe to Freedom of movement of labour.

And you missed the bit that said the EU have agreements with most of the nations we trade with.

New trade deals and arrangements will be done.

New post brexit tariffs have been published.

The sole aim of the WTO of which the EU is a member is to reduce all barriers to trade, not stop them as you would be forgiven for thinking listening to and reading some of the rhetoric surrounding it.

Trade will continue, the world will not stop because the UK has left a political union.

Did you miss the bit where i said Southampton is our biggest port for NON EU goods and that we only check 2% of them currently, often intelligence led?

Trade will continue and to suggest anything other is for the birds.
You do understand that the reason we only have to check 2% of goods at the moment is because of our membership of the EU, and the checks that France applies to our goods at their border, and that when we leave, if we leave, this number technically will have to go up to 100% if we are to do business with the EU?

We can all be sarcastic......

What part of there will never be a return to a hard border in Ireland can you not understand?

I get it you have pinned all your hopes on a revocation on this issue i really do but it isn't going to happen I'm afraid.

Ooops forgot to add a few of these.......

I will keep it short and say i completely disagree.

Reasons for which i have given several times.

Genuine question, will we not need trusted trader status for that to happen (limited checks)? We'll have to wait and see with regards to how we negotiate it, (or not given there's not a lot of time), but i'm not filled with confidence our new team will inspire a lot if confidence from the EU.

No deal has been wrongly equated to no trade.

Its for the birds and that is the worst case, we have no trade deal, tariffs will change and businesses will suffer or gain dependant on them but trade will continue.

The UK, the EU, Ireland have all said that they want a deal and until the day we leave if we ever do leave those negotiations will continue to get one done.

My best guess is that due to the level of trade between us a deal will get done.

Do yourself a favour Mr Quimby and go yell it to Dublin.

I'm almost 100% certain they too will ignore you as it is never going too happen.

Deal or no deal!

Agree with the last line and first paragraph but the middle one will definitely cause issues when it comes to MFN.

I've also mentioned this a few times, but I'll also keep it short. My wife works for HMRC and what i wrote wasn't an opinion. It's the actual reality of what will happen if we leave.

I'm not defending foreign interference, I just don't think you can do anything about it because we live in a free world and a free country.

No-one is overly bothered about it except for those who are annoyed at losing. The reason why not many are bothered is because they voted freely and did so through their own reasoning.

No-one on the remain side is arguing on foreign interference from their side, eg, Obama standing on a platform and threatening bad consequences if we voted to leave. The current president has promised the reverse so Obamas words clearly may not be true.

It is upto voters to make up their mind but if you start banning information then you are saying that voters are just too stupid to be trusted with it.

Which is true for a proportion of our electorate.

Boris Johnson has just proposed

  • Scrapping the rules on Genetically modified crops
  • Bio science liberated from Genetic modification rules so we can live longer
  • a haven for overseas investment (avoidance of tax)
  • No UK Commissioner for the Eu from 01 December
  • More money for the NHS / Education and Police (money that they stripped out)
  • 20000 'extra' police.... take us back to the numbers prior to the Tories austerity measures (probably to maintain peace on the streets following Brexit)
  • Tougher Immigration rules
What could possibly go wrong?

Oh and we will be fine by 2030.... he's just amended it to 2050
