Absolutely brilliant that they've done well in pre-season.

Now lulled into a false sense of security that everything is fine and they've got pretty much what they need - their squad won't change much going into the season.

Think they had a good pre season under Maureen, and look how that ended up.

The Oracle of football that is Usain Bolt has spoken.

He believes the paperboy is the best man for the job and he reckons top 4 is also certain after their pre season
I remember when finishing in the top four resulted in the manager being sacked, even with FA Cup wins

In five full seasons Fat Ron Atkinson had two 3rd places and three 4th plus two FA Cup wins and they sacked him

Oh how the aspirations have diminished for the rags

In the words of Peter Ustinov. They have set themselves incredibly low standards which they're finding increasingly difficult to achieve

If we had spent the money they have on their current squad, and with the wage bill to go along with it, we would be slaughtered if top 4 was our aim. With the money they are throwing about nothing short that a title challenge would be a huge failure. And lets remember the 10-20points helping hand they get each year also from officials

Blind leading blind on the caff........................... Even if he fails - he will have left us with the following:

DDG - probably new contract
Martial - new contract
Rashford - new contract
Pogba - still appears to be with the club - and doing his best
McTominay - new contract
Dan James
Aaron Wan Bissaka
Gomes - I am convinced he will sign a new contract because Ole will play him

We probably have the youngest squad in the P.L - and the most talented even if it will take 2-3 years before the majority of these players reach their peak.

Compare that to where we were in december 2018.

I would say the guy has performed miracles even if the results arent great in 2019/2020 - regardless of who is in charge next year, the future will look much brighter.

I saw somewhere their pre-season being described as the perfect pre-season all because they won their games. It’s almost as if their biggest player didn’t publicly declare he wants out, their £90 million striker isn’t sitting in the reserves with no buyer willing to stump up even half that, their manager isn’t publicly exclaiming his desperation for Maguire to be brought in, and on and on it goes.

Honestly, the worst thing (best from our POV) that could have happened to United this pre season was for them to win all their games with kids, it makes them think everything isn’t as bad as it seems and then when the season starts and they are getting battered by expected mid table fodder with those kids, the window is closed and they’re stuck what they have and no real excuse to sack Ole because he “gets it” and the kids need time.

I never thought United would ever fall too far from grace because of the resources they have enables them to spend their way back onto the coattails of the best but I really think they could potentially drop down to genuine midtable this season. If the likes of Wolves, Leicester, West Ham and Everton get the players being rumoured and perform how they should with their respective squads, any and all of those have a fighting chance of finishing above United.

Living in such a deluded world is obviously very comforting for them. In Pep's words " I am so happy " for them.

They were European Cup standard boozers at that time though, credit where its due! Robson, McGrath, Whiteside and Leslie kept most of the Cheshire alehouses open

the reports says her shares are at 17% but they are class B ??? and only worth £11.2million

The shares she's put up as collateral are only a small proportion of what she has

According to the most recent documents, Glazer Kassewitz owned 20,899,365 Class B Manchester United shares - worth more than $376million - amounting to a little under 17% of the total Class B shares.

What I would like to know is what other top 10 team would have considered OGS for Manager?
Hell, what other Premier League team would have considered OGS for Manager?
Cardiff rated Colin Wanker higher than him
