Time for Sane to man up and go against his mother. : )
I would LIKE this post 100 times if I could......

Leroy you are playing in the best league in the world.
Part of argueably the best team EVER to play on these shores since football began. (100 pts. 4 trophies.)

You can earn 160,000 a week plus bonuses for next 5 years signing for city ( along the way perhaps a balon d or. Or goal den boot. Plus 50 plus German caps)

For us in the REAL world think about those earnings alone......that's a lot of shifts on a supermarket check out on 8.21 an hour !

Man up......if you like it at City STAY and do what YOU enjoy play brilliant football. Create ART.

However if you must leave then THANK YOU.
You have created some moments in this team I and many will remember for the rest of our days.

# once a blue ALWAYS a blue. Centurion. Formidable.

Is anyone watching the stream currently? They’ve been showing the warm up and and sane was really half arsing it. Everyone else was like a move ahead of him. Could be carrying a knock? Or just a lazy bugger? Ha ha
Like me....I can look lethargic and half arsed at work but actually mentally I am on point and at it !

Without doubt he is lazy. The number of times he shows this during a game when a ball unintentionally meant for him goes slightly astray and he can`t be arsed even making an attempt to keep it in play.
The lad could have the world at his feet,if he could show more consistency ... see Messrs Sterling and B.Silva for details.

I'm not talking about nostalgic bullshit, I'm talking about selling a player if they dont commit to you, and if they try and leave just before the season then holding them to the contract they signed. That is literally the club looking after its best interests.

I dont care how long Leroys career is, Peps tenure at City will be shorter, and the club has to do absolutely everything to maximise the return on the next 24 months.

Are you saying Sane doesn't want to commit to us and, if so, based on what

Keep on hearing how poor Leroy was last season 46 games 16 goals 17 assists , not figures that indicate a disaster ,but certainly not as influential as 17/18 season when he won Young player of the year ,because that was an exceptional campaign for him. He is 23 years old and still looking for the consistency a player achieves with more experience , personally i think Leroy is leaving , he clashes with Pep and it would be an easier and less demanding life at the German Rags , after all he will joining a "one team" league.

The German Rags are being clever they now possibly have Leroy , his agent and mum on board and have started "negotiations" they can now make a low ball offer inferring that we have an unsettled player who wants to leave , this was their intention from day one getting Leroy for well below the market value , leaving it as late as possible in the transfer window so we would hopefully accept the offer , they know with all the UEFA & FFP crap we need the £100m , to replace him with another big signing. Rumennigge is a grade one **** and his been from the start of this drama ,i will be disappointed if our club lets Leroy leave for £70-80m , but Leroy's silence is making it look more likely that the German Rags will get their way

Really hope i am wrong , Leroy is an exceptional talent and the thought of him in a German Rag shirt with Rummenigge smugly looking on , turns my stomach.

Losing sane and not replacing him makes us weaker no matter how anyone looks at it. the kid is a potential ballondor winner and i believe he will eventually become what pep wants we need to do everything we can to keep him and if we cant use the funds to buy someone who can replace him

Biggest moment of the season? I had hoped people might let that go once we'd actually won the league. He scored winners away at Spurs and Bournemouth and perhaps.l most importantly of all, put the game to bed against Brighton. That third goal going in that game will always be remembered my me much more importantly than that penalty miss.

Really don't get why that miss is held against him so much when other players made equally as stupid/costly errors. Danilo and Fernandinho's balls up against Newscastle felt like a much more costly mistake at the time.

As I said.

Leroy Sané.

If he's not performing, why should Pep play him? We're challenging for titles & cups, so why would Pep jeopardise this for one player? At times during last season, it was like playing with 10 men with Sane on the pitch.

The boy has a mentality issue. He's immensely talented, but ask yourself why he's never once (in my memory) hit the ground running from the start of the season?

He needs to realise the likes of the fake Ronaldo & Hazard etc are the players they are because they dedicate themselves to their craft, & don't purely rely on their natural talents.

Both Pep & Lowe cam't be wrong in their assessment of Sane 12 months ago.

Not interested in slagging off Leroy tbh. No 'issues' for me: great player. Upto Pep if he plays.

If he play's he'll probably sign, if he doesn't he'll go.

If the season taught us anything, it would be that we probably wouldn't have won the league without Sane, as his contribution was 10 goals & 10 assists in the PL including the killer goal v Utd & Liverpool & we won the title by 1 point.

Mahrez' biggest contribution was -2 points at Anfield.
3 points at Spurs.

Well that's the other thing I dont really understand.

Pep and Sané dont seem to get along in a footballing sense. Pep avoids picking him if he can, he spends 80% of the time Sané is on the pitch either furiously shouting at him or gesticulating to his assistants because he cant believe leroy still cant do what he wants 3 years in.

If it's a simone as you say - if he plays, he signs - then hes very unlikely to sign isnt he? Because outside of some big injuries he's not in our best XI going off Pep's selections and if Mahrez shows up then Leroy could play much less than he did last season.

So are the club really prepared to risk going into Peps last 2 seasons short handed on the off chance that Leroy suddenly steps up and understands/does what Pep wants, and then on top of that decides to go against his family and stay?

Pep imo is trying to force Leroy into being his kind of player.

Leroy may be better following that advice or ignoring it & leaving. I don't know.

He's a fantastic player either way & a great asset to the squad.

So, if he plays he'll probably sign imo, if he doesn't he'll go.

No problem him going, if we don't use him.
I dont see it as black and white. Pep will only select the best 11 from the squad on a case by case basis. Some games will no doubt include him, others wont. But what I genuinely believe is that pep will not be saying sign and I will ensure x games/season
