The truth is revealed - prepare for disaster

Meh. To be honest when you have the Chancellor talking about ‘significant extra funding’ but no actual figures and ‘possible new infrastructure’ - not ‘definite new infrastructure and we are starting Monday’ - I can’t say I’m convinced. Also 500 new border guards in what the next 90 days? That ain’t happening. I get that no deal is now the only route left for Brexit and this is probably the last role of the dice but we are going to have to try harder than this to make it stick.

Of course it’s entirely possible this sect of the Tory Party elected by Party members to ‘do the job’ will relish more authoritarian measures and restrictions taken to mitigate no deal consequences in the hope they remain in place. Not to mention putting our relations with our closest neighbours in the deep freeze for a generation or two but that has little to do with Brexit. That’s just remaking the country in the image of Farage. Well England and possibly Wales. Scotland and NI will have buggered off at this point.

It has been said for 3 years that:

"We will not see movement from the EU unless and until they are faced with the possibility of a viable walk-away (No-Deal) options and the political will to use it...…"

That was true 3 years ago and remains true today.

What will you say on here if it does happen and we enter into another recession?

To cut a long story short I lost my passport, cancelled it and found it again, being a dick head.

My new one has just arrived, as I had to send the cancelled one off and pay for a new one, and the leave supporters on here will be glad to know they’ve removed “European Union” and there’s no mention of Europe anywhere, anymore, as far as I can see.

I feel a little sad.

That’s terrible.
See if you can find a rubber dinghy on a south coast beach, then row to France and claim asylum. No need to thank me. :-)

Seriously though Have they changed the colour yet?

Was it blue?

No colour change.

Exact same other than taking all mention of Europe away.

They have a deal which they negotiated with the UK PM and see no reason to re-visit it despite the bullshit Johnson continually spouts. He is aiming at a series of events that will make him out to the worst PM ever..............and given who he succeeded that would be quite a feat.

My old Landlord used to always say...

"If you are looking for sympathy - it can be found between syphilis and shit - in the dictionary...."

Once again for those at the back

They will not give any concessions that will risk the further break up of the Eu......they will not allow us to trade with them without a customs border or union. And the certainly will not enter into any trade agreement without settlement of the agreed outstanding amount.

You forget one small but very important point, The deal they wanted was not ratified by the UK parliament. Remember the parliament that so many remainers wanted to have a final say on. Oh the irony. It's all up for renegotiation until both parties agree. Time for the UK to start playing hardball just like the EU have been doing all along. First off immediately stop all payments to the EU. Then they will be quicker to the negotiating table.

One of the side effects of electing Johnson is I can see the case for Brexit unravelling because he is prevaricating **** and I really do not think he is as much a believer as he makes out. He saw a chance to fulfil his self proclaimed destiny and took it. The true believers will of course hang on his every word, if he answered "fish" to every question his supporters would be cheering from the rafters, all I can see him doing is further radicalising both extremes and hardening there respective positions. He will not want to unite the country because If he does he will be out of power. He needs, almost craves division as that cements his importance as the champion of the side he has chosen.

£4 Billion available to manage Brexit, what a fucking farce. Raab on TV now looking like a rabbit in the headlights, he has not got a fucking clue what he is doing or saying. Not answering questions just spouting meaningless sound bites. Turbo charged Brexit ffs. Have we ever had such an undistinguished rabble of halfwits in charge of the nation.

It is all very well trying to manage expectations but not describing actual reality means they are taking the electorate for fools and I think it is not unreasonable to expect that over the coming months the blame for there inadequacies will be put firmly on to the EU.

So Barnier admitted May and her team never really tried to get a decent deal for the UK. She never put no deal on the table. All those times she spouted about a no deal being better than a bad deal. Laughable really. All the while the EU have been dictating the terms of leaving, cutting options and benefits such as Galileo to the UK while still taking the cash. She and her team of civil servants were simply awful at negotiation, i predicted this two or three years ago when i said they were not suitable or experienced in how to carry out any hard negotiation. They should have tasked business leaders with the job. People who know how to negotiate not politicians and civil servants. Total shambles. A wasted three years.
