Liverpool thread 2019/20

Yes it looks like Liverpool may be copying the Arsenal business model which relies on ripping off their fans to ensure the owners can line their pockets each year. Liverpool have just reported a record profit of £125m for the 17/18 season...before winning the Champions League. It is total bollocks that they can't buy more players. The morons in the media will never challenge this sort of crap. They gave Wenger an easy ride for 10 years before it became clear that he was spouting fake news. Jurgen really has turned into Ken Dodd.

What a wonderful day...

What a wonderful day to go along to Etihad Stadium with the Champions' League trophy and shouting, "I bet you would love to have this in your cabinet!?

It's funny, however it is a friendly. I'm sure that's how it will be reported. Much the same as if they beat us next week....the media won't go over the top with it.
Haha, if they beat us next week, they'll be the best team in the world ever.

It's a game I'd like us to win, but the result is really of little great interest, given the number of key players likely to be missing.

If we beat them next Sunday, can we claim to be European Champions?

A lot of noise from Klopp about how the "European Champions" who made "record profits" and have the "lowest net spend", cannot compete financially with ickle City?
Simple answer. American owners take as much cash as they can out of the business whereas our owners consistently reinvest for growth sustainability and excellence.

Liverpool like Arsenal and United have an outdated business model and have fallen way behind City in every aspect not just the football. No wonder they continue to attack and campaign against City without irony as they seek to regain their previous hegemony and dominance over other football clubs.
Fsg are hedge fund owners, so will only put in what they have to, they backed ffp heavily when they screw Gillet and the other guy to get Liverpool fc on the cheap. Like you say similar business model to the rags.

Just thought I'd throw my penneth worth in and I sincerely apologise to Mr Howard Hockin for pinching this out his book.

Well well well, I remember the papers and sky sports news plastering this in every headline....

It’s not been covered by the media so it can’t be true says every dipper cünt. Hypocrisy typical of the vile stench of society.
Why has this not been released by the media??? Funny they eh

Well that independent monitoring didn't work. Standard Chartered continued their illegal money laundering and were fined a further $1.1 billion in April 2019. On top of that Western Union were fined $286 million in 2017 for turning a blind eye to criminals using their services for money laundering and a further $60 million in 2018 for money laundering. Yet squeaky clean Liverpool continue to proudly display the names of both companies on their shirts which makes John Henry and every dipper who wears a replica shirt and bangs on about City being FFP cheats (doubly ironic seeing as they cheated FFP twice and got away with it) a fucking hypocrite.

Forbes published an article this year entitled "Standard Chartered's Long History of Financial Crime" which says it all.

Jurgen Klopp continued: "I don't want to find excuses before we play them but we had a completely different pre-season, we played it without six players. Have we had the best pre-season of our lives? I cannot say that with the results, but the sessions were really good. From a freshness point of view, the games came at the wrong moment.

"The problem is all the games are in public so everybody sees what we're doing. Some people get concerned, some people don't. But we have to prove ourselves during the season, not in one game"

Their missing 6 players and we're only missing one (Kun) according to serial excuse maker.
