As I keep asking can it detect chlorinated chicken* being smuggled in on it's own or amongst approved goods by unapproved ( or even trusted) traders?
I needs to know man!

* and any other non EU approved goods
Intelligence led checks away from the border

There is a 200 page document that describes in great detail how the border could operate using existing technology. This is the way forward, not the backstop, but the EU have made it clear that the WA is not negotiable.

Existing technology still doesn't negate the need for border posts/guards and customs border checks for trade vehicled like lories.
The example they use is sweden/denmark and that is not a frictionless border either despite the ERG and johnsons false claims

If I’m a fucking smuggler the last thing I’m wanting to smuggle is fucking chicken Len, chlorinated or not lol.

Never become a smuggler, you will make fuck all money.

Yeah. It really doesn’t. Because if you stopped to think about do you really think 27 European nations and the U.K. are going to risk the potential for economic chaos, putting relationships between the U.K. and the E27 in the deep freeze and reigniting the troubles in NI by blindly refusing to accept that existing tech can do the job?

Is Johnson waving this document around demanding to know why it’s not been implemented or travelling to the NI border communities with his team of tech advisors explaining and reassuring the communities that there is no need to worry and this document will explain how it will all work and lambasting the EU and Dublin for their intransigence? Is this happening? Is Johnson hotfooting to Dublin with his team and putting Dublin on the spot and asking hard questions and demanding answers on this document?

No he isn’t. In fact there is no engagement whatsoever with Dublin or even an inclination to talk to them. Yet apparently we have the solution in our hands? A solution that Johnson has so far failed to mention? Has he talked about his solution for removing the backstop?
Phone call with Varadkar today, meeting later this week apparently.

Will that stuff not have to pass through EU countries to get to the NI border first? Will it suddenly start appearing because the only way in is through Ireland why wouldn’t it be stopped in the EU before it reached NI or am I missing something?

Exactly, well said.

So Johnson’s precondition of no talks without dropping the backstop lasted 6 days into his premiership?

Did he mention the 200 page solution to the border or is he taking it and his team with him to do a power point presentation on how it works. Then he should take it on the road to border country and reassure the communities on both sides. Agreed?

Criticised when he doesn’t, then criticised when does, make your mind up. Makes sense to me to see if an agreement can be reached with the Irish, this could be the key to getting a deal passed.
I’d suggest you’re being rather naive if you think the Irish aren’t very well aware of our proposed solution for the border.

But will we? Anythingnis possible with johnson in charge, even May wouldn't commit fully only saying we will uphold the values of ECHR as a soveriegn nation.
Yes, we are. The "will we, won't we" is typical of the fearmongering, whilst ignoring the fact that we are STILL part of the ECHR, and hardly any in Parliament supports ending it.

That isn't fear mongering it was a general question.

God you are all so touchy in here

No it'll be from non EU countries into NI and then over the border into the Republic.

We don’t want to be eating stuff that we wash our salad in.
By the way
Did you enjoy your 29% horse meat burgers sold in Asda, Aldi, the Co-op, Iceland, Sainsbury's and Tesco? Or the 100% horse meat lasagne meals? made by European firm Comigel.

Yep.
Gutted when they stopped selling them.
