Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

If he doesnt play tomorrow I don't think it guarantees a move is happening, but it should mean either Sane has asked for it or City are happy to sell for the price they've demanded.

I don't think we would've had a problem tripling them if he had performed to say, Sterling's level, last season. 180k/week is pretty much the going rate for a winger of his age and quality. Look at what the clowns across the way gave Rashford for example. Now obviously their wage structure is broken/non existent but if our stance is that Sane's worth a €150m fee he'd be well within his right to earn at that level.

Yeah but if we give him huge boost to his wages. whos to say agent of another player won't notice this and ask for huge increase like that too? Also Leroy's mother in the next contract negotiations could ask for another huge increase given we did it the first time. This also has to be factored in.
 
If we sell and i hope we do not it should be for the price we want plus Alphoso Davis they will not need him if they buy Sane, Davis is a 18 year old winger who at the age of 16 destroyed the MSL he is raw but would create a foreign spot he is miles better than Sessegnon and one of the few players i have seen rip a league at that age Ronaldo, Suarez and VVD, he is better than Leao as well
 
Really was hoping he wasn’t going. Sad if so. Don’t think it’s a big deal with respect to the league, but do think it matters more in CL where a counterattack is worth a lot more against teams more willing to play - and a necessary threat he provides like no one else. Was also just really hoping to see him this year with a fully fit Kev back for (hopefully) the whole season. I think kev makes sane himself so much more of a threat, which I think people forget when they quote sane stats from last year.
 
What's really annoyed me about this is the way Bayern have now kept it in the news by steadily dripping stories that they are NOT in for him. It has the same effect as saying they are, with a whole new raft of stories coming out. They know exactly what they're doing.

If he's more interested in the money now then we should negotiate the highest price we can and let him go. There's a lot to be said for only keeping people in the group who want to be there.

For the purposes of other players it doesn't matter what his old wage was, it matters that the new one fits within the structure. Sterling isn't going to ask for more because we tripled Sane, he still makes more. If you all of a sudden made him the top earner out of nowhere then you'd probably have some issues, but 180k wouldn't be that close.
 
How come there is nothing in the British press about this, there all journalists out there who can’t wait to put negative news out about city,

Leroy should be one of our top earners if Pep is desperate to keep him.
 
So if he goes who comes in ?

Surely the club have a replacement ready with the clock ticking.

His involvement this weekend, and his presence amongst the City party is a far better indicator than media speculation which is designed purely for interest.
