If Leroy wants to leave for whatever reason it’s his prerogative, whether it’s family, friends, financial or footballing reasons is completely irrelevant. There’s absolutely no reason to slag off Leroy, his family or anyone else for that matter. As far as we’re aware he’s remained professional and hasn’t done a Neymar or Toure by demanding a transfer in public.

The way we act towards Leroy will show our clubs integrity and class, that’s vital because we want players here who want to be here and for the right reasons. If Leroy wants to leave, so be it, as long as we get the valuation we want.

We don’t need to replace Leroy, we already have Sterling, Bernardo and Mahrez. Jesus and Foden are also more than capable of playing in wide areas left or right, we’ve got Poveda coming through as well and we also have the option to play 3 at the back if we get Cancelo.
