Nobody is reporting he has asked to leave or that City have given a specific minimum valuation of £137m.

There's no way the £137m figure is made up. Made up stories are always prefaced by crap like "sources close to the club", or "we understand", or other such, basically amounting to "we've made this up".

This was not the case with the £137m quote. It was printed by several papers as a statement of fact. They wouldn't be doing that unless the club has told them officially.

I thought that until the press briefing the other day. To put the £137m figure out there so clearly and then sell for £27m less is not a good look IMO, it' basically telling everyone you've been pushed around and forced into selling below your valuation.

If there's a compromise I think it'll be more like 137 with a lot of add ons rather than 137 straight up.
