Deal agreed with Bayern Munich for Leroy Sane - €60m (including add-ons)

Transfermarkt claims Bayern is now bidding for Sanes younger brother from Schalke 04 academy in an attempt to up the emotional pressure on Sane (and his mum presumably). That club is just as low life scum as it gets. They will do anything to not have to pay the price.

Sure, which club would do anything to pay the highest price? Come on, it's poker.

Btw, how do you know mum didn't ask for a contract for young Sidi Sané to have the family reunited somewhere around Munich?
Maybe Leroy would like it, we just don't know.

Yep, 3-5-2 is back!

This makes sense in light of us signing Cancelo, however it seems madness to go into the season aiming to play 3-5-2 with just three senior centre backs available (two of whom I don't think are 100% trusted by Pep). Having watched Walker play CB in the world cup for England surely he can't be seen as a realistic long term option there. If you want to play 3-5-2 surely you'd expect to have at least CBs on the books that you're totally happy with? And that's before we even factor in Mendy's injury record?

Maybe he hates Sidi and it will put him right off ;-)

Never in million years.

This transfer is 100% off. IMO.

I would be surprised as well if BMU pay.
That €150m or £137m price tag is a real problem for BMU as it has the message,
"Are you a big club now or don't you have enough money for your dream player?? :)))"

I bet they would like to show they can but it's taking them to a high risk position they always have avoided.

I don't know anything but as far as I understand it Sidi is nowhere near the talent Leroy is. This means it is highly unlikely Bayern would have bought Sidi unless it is a means to get Leroy. You don't deal with human beings that way.

Just watched an interview with Omar on YouTube. He comes across as a very astute operator.

There’s no way on this good earth that Omar is going to give the German rags a helping hand. Cough up top dollar, or walk away.
Omar Sharif?

I know you hate BMU like many others and are happy to assume any topic to be their fault from the first second
without even knowing nada if the idea was being brought into play from the other side of the table.

BMU could have had the idea to convince mum and Leroy, mum could have had the idea to cash in a contract for Sidi and milk BMU. No?

On the one hand the forum hates how media are spinning stories and on Bluemoon we are doing the same one-sided stuff
just because it fits OUR stories. Not my trade.

Not a go against you at all, just a general remark that will go down the drain, as usual ;)

bayern = 2 top wingers down
city = many top wingers
bayern = need to buy
city = dont need to sell
bayern = trying to get local lad to be their face for next 10 years
city = dont give a fuck what bayern need, bayern pay the going rate for a player of that quality.
bayern = cant wait for player to run his contract down
city = will never forget bayerns involvement with ffp and email disclosure.

conclusion = bayern pay what city want, or fuck off!!!

You would imagine both Dinho & Rodri could easily drop into a back 3 tbf.

But Pep likes 2 wingers, wide strikers, available for each side & has said he 'needs' that on numerous occasions.

Losing Sané would impair Pep's desired squad balance, whatever systems we use.

I've seen a lot of talk of who might be able to drop back in and do a job there but why would we spend all of that money on Rodri and then use him as a makeshift CB? I get that all of our players are expected to show flexibility and be able to step in when required but i'd have still thought that we would have at least one player we're completely happy with for every position. If you want to play 3 CBs then you'd think the threshold requirement in your squad would be to have three CBs you're totally happy with, and then look to the likes of Fernandinho to step in when needed. Otamendi barely played last year and Stones lost his place towards the end the season. Seems an odd decision to not replace Kompany if the plan is to switch to a system that requires more CBs than we had last year.

He wouldn't be a makeshift cb, he would be a midfield player who could also play in a back 3, or step in if there was an emergency.

Fernandinho often drops in between the cbs.

He's told us he wants to leave according to Honigstein.
The whole of German are begging bayern to make a bid and sign him, they have all been wrong so far, they all say it's done, bayern put out a statement to say it's not,the big 2 sources said he wouldn't be at the game yesterday as the deal was done or close too, they are full of shit, until sources here say something nothing is happening

I don't think we even disagree about who would be expected to do what in the hypothetical scenario where we go to 3 at the back. I think we just disagree on whether we have the correct personnel to go into a season with that being the plan. I would have preferred us to bring one in anyway with the departure or Kompany.

Actually you are right mate. I sometimes wish I was as considered as you. I am not being ironic here. I know your postings and like them. In this case for sure my Bayern hate got the better of me. You have to admit they are bastards though :-)
